Here's our first non-directly Covid related pause. Mike Davis was pissed his kids had to play this weekend and is on record saying so. Now he's wiggled off the hook of a pair of losses this weekend.

Mental Health??? This is unacceptable. Detroit should play the games or forfeit. We have no idea what’s going on there. The fact that the HL office is fully supportive tells me there’s more to it that “nah, we don’t feel like playing.”

Maybe the players are mentally drained from playing for a coach who allows his son to take 19 shots per game, which is nearly 30% of all shots taken for the season, while shooting 17% from 3, and winning just 1 game. UDM is a shit show with Mike Davis as their head coach.

⬆️Hahaha well said⬆️
Pops and his son are most likely sitting at home smirking, thinking they just pulled a fast one on the HL when in actuality they are coming off as cowards for this. Maybe there are actual mental health issues going on but only a few days after Davis’ rant.......nobody is buying that s**t.

I'm sure getting your ass kicked every time you take the court and having to play for a psychopath of a head coach would cause serious mental health issues.

The silence from the HL Commissioner regarding a 2021 post season tournament is deafening. Are we to assume, since there has been absolutely no announcements regarding this, that there will be no tournament? Someone must have at least a modicum of info on this. It would be nice to get even a tidbit of info on what they are thinking. But considering the lack of competence inside the 4 walls of that office, I guess it's just par for the course.

Does the HL tournament playing in the same venue as some of the NCAA tourney games have anything to do with the decision of having a HL tournament?

The NCAA just announced yesterday the March Madness will start Mar 18. So there might be time for a shiortened league tournament If selection Sunday is 3/14, then there's a full three weekends to get the tournament in. There's zero reason they can't pull this off, there's plenty of time, even if they don't want to break mold and play during the week. They could certainly speed matters up and if they took just the top 8; hell, only 4 teams have a winning conference record anyways, just take those 4 teams and play a Friday/Sunday mini tournament and take the last team standing. They could do that the weekend of the 27th and give the victor plenty of time to rest up for the NCAA tournament.

I'm hoping they go with more wins get you a better seed than a higher winning percentage.

Since our game is so early in the day, just wanted to bring to light that Cleveland State is hosting Milwaukee on ESPN2 tonight at 9p, if you're looking for some HLMBB action, the Panthers are 4.5 dogs on the road tonight, and could do us a big solid this weekend.
