I wish #RaiderGang would schedule a series with a decent program in the Midwest like Ball State or Indiana State which could help them get a 3-seed in the Regional. Going almost two weeks with no games concerns me. But, I guess the coaching staff knows what they are doing. Most teams aren’t willing or able to schedule OOC games now. They are focusing on competing in their conference, already played the most OOC games they are allowed, or cannot play an OOC game due to their conferences covid protocol.

Well, what do you know, #RaiderGang will be playing a tune-up series. They are a Division II program so it will not impact the Raiders RPI which currently stands at 28. I am sure they tried hard to find a series, which was not easy for the reasons Big D listed in an earlier post.

I am sure they tried hard to find a series, which was not easy for the reasons Big D listed in an earlier post. They were 31-8 headed into the series. Based on the score, they are probably better than a couple HL teams. And like you said, even losing one to this team wouldn't hurt RPI and they are still good enough to be a legit tune up.

I will add the fine print right here:
Quincy Hamilton earned Horizon League Player of the Year honors and head coach Alex Sogard won his second straight HL Coach of the Year award today!
In addition to the major awards, we have five players on the All-League First Team - Tyler Black, Austin Cline, Quincy Hamilton, Sammy Sass, and Alec Sayre. Three players - Bradley Brehmer, Damon Dues, and Zane Harris - earned Second Team honors, while Jake Shirk earned All-Freshman Team honors. (All-Freshman eligibility was limited to those players using their first year of collegiate eligibility in 2021.)

Raiders are in a dogfight at home with the Panthers. WSU just stranded bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th and are holding a very slim 4-3 lead. Raiders have stranded 10 runners so far.

Milwaukee made some noise in the 9th, but failed to cash in the run they needed to force extras. A double off the wall, followed by a sac bunt left a runner on third and only one out. A hot smash to third was fielded cleanly and the out made at first; the runner at third had to hold. The game ended on fastball taken down the pipe on a 1-2 count.
