Raiders down 2-0 after a two run big fly gets the Flames on the board in the first. Flames dugout being obnoxiously loud; time to bring out the bats!
Raiders plate one in the home first on a single, a balk, a sac fly, and a fielders choice.

Raiders take the tournament title in convincing fashion absolutely thrashing Mikwaukee 21-3. We scored in 7 of 8 innings, Damon Dues hit for the cycle, Xane Harris had 7 RBIs.
Selection Monday on Memorial Day.

Wow! Complete domination from the Raiders this year. I assume we are most likely looking at a 3 seed, even so to be the best you have to beat the best if they are going to move on. I will be tuning in on Monday to see where and who they play.

The Raiders finished the season 35-11 current have the 25th best RPI (not yet updated for this weekend). We will end with the best home record in all of D1 this season and be one of only a half dozen or so teams with 11 or less losses. We also current sit 36th in the coaches poll (again, not updated for games this week). 64 teams go to the regionals, so it would certainly seem feasible to get a 2 seed in a regional based on the numbers, but we all know that's not how it works. Mid-major programs are constantly passed over for high seeds for middle of the back power conference teams, so I don't think there's much viability in a 2 seed, but we are a solid 3, and probably a pretty high 3, meaning we would likely be looking at playing at one of the best half dozen teams in the country.
I am sure that our offensive firepower will be something that makes most coaches nervous, but you certainly aren't looking at quality pitchers night in and night out in the Horizon. Not to mention we had a very poor power 5 showing this year going 0-5 in 3 games against Vandy and 2 at Alabama. That certainly doesn't strengthen our resume for a 2 seed.
Given that there's some geographical bias played into these tournaments, I wouldn't be surprised if we got sent to South Bend as a 3 with a Michigan or a Louisville as the 2. It would be huge to get through the 2-3 game, and have a shot on knocking off a team beatable team like Notre Dame.
