This is unbelievable, but the Raiders are now at 33 in the RPI. A 33 RPI should get the Raiders an at-large bid and a two or three seed in the Regional. I have a hard time believing the Raiders end up in the 30s in terms of their RPI, but it is fun to dream a little.

I cannot say this for menβs basketball but raider baseball truly deserves, needs to be in a better league. They seem to have totally outclassed the rest of the hl.

The amazing thing is that the Raiders are really just regional recruiters, getting a large number of players from the SW Ohio/Tri-State area. Most larger conference teams are national recruiters. Wright State has truly built a beast. I hope we can pay our coaches more, as to keep them here longer.

I cannot say this for menβs basketball but raider baseball truly deserves, needs to be in a better league. They seem to have totally outclassed the rest of the hl. The Raider Gang would be better than teams in the MAC, Summit League, OVC, and A-10. The Big East would be a stronger challenge. The Big 10 would be a daily challenge in baseball. So, the Raiders will just need to play a killer out-of-conference schedule each year. |

Arkansas is at 1.

If Wright State played baseball in the Big 10 (10) we would have the highest RPI of any program (Michigan is the highest).
In the A-10 (22), #RaiderGang would have the second-highest after Rhode Island 23.
In the AAC (5), #RaiderGang would be the second-highest after East Carolina at 4.
In the Big East (20), #RaiderGang would be second after Villanova at 8.
In the MAC (23), #RaiderGang would have the highest RPI. Ball State leads the MAC at 70.
In the OVC (12), #RaiderGang would have the highest RPI. Murray leads the OVC at 50

I use the Warren Nolan RPI site for the RPI info I post on here because they do live updates and they provide a lot of other information. They are projecting that Wright State goes undefeated in the conference series games. I think it is not likely that #RaiderGang goes 40 straight conference games without a slip-up. No, matter how good a team is, it is just too easy to have an off day. But, because there is such a big disparity between WSU and the other HL programs that about any computer model would show WSU going undefeated in conference play. I wonder why the baseball games are not on ESPN+? This is just a guess but for basketball, the infrastructure is already in place in terms of announcers and sometimes cameras. Not so much for baseball. |
