Raiders score three runs in the sixth, eighth and ninth but the comeback attempt falls just short in game one of the DH.

Raiders Win! Wright State 10, FGCU 3
Rountree (3) and Sayre (2) both have multi-RBI games as the Raiders added on six runs in the eighth to put this one away.

FGCU 6, Wright State 4
After the Raiders tied it up in the seventh, FGCU plates two runs in the bottom of the eighth for the difference. Anglin, Alders & Sayre each with two hits in the loss for the Raiders.

Wright State now has 10 losses (14-10). Seven are against good programs the other three against not-so-good programs. The RPI is an astounding 31 which I still do not fully understand.
Here is the Raiders record broke down by Quads:
Quad1--0-5 (top 50 programs)
Quad2--1-2 (51-100)
Quad3--5-3 (101-150)
Quad4--8-0 (151-302)
There are 16 more games, the Raiders could win all 16 and that would really help give them momentum, respect, and standing for the Regional as they go into the HL. Most likely, they will lose a few of those games.
I have not seen this team in person, but I think it is a good team despite the record. The Raiders could lose all 16 remaining regular-season games and still win the HL Championship. Then get hot and wind up in Omaha. Don't bet on it, but it could happen.
Hold on, it could be a roller coaster ride for the next three weeks.
