To put that RPI of 12 into perspective. In 2019, the #RaiderGang record was 40-17 and the RPI was 89.
Wright State split two games with Ole Miss, took one of three from the OSU Cowboys, beat East Carolina, lost to Utah, and lost to Ohio State. Those were the games against higher RPI programs,
This year #RaiderGang is 0-5 versus high RPI teams. Go figure.

#RaiderGang is now down all the way to 13 in the RPI. East Carolina just pulled ahead of us and is now at 12 with a record of 28-7 and 6-1 versus Quad1 teams. Go figure?
Here is what may be helping our RPI: Wright States strength of schedule is 28 and ECU has a SOS of 57. #RAiderGang nonconference SOS is 5! We only played three nonconference teams but they were against good teams. ECU has a nonconference SOS of 36. So, not playing Miami, Dayton, BGSU etc..., has really helped our SOS.
IMHO, for ranking purposes, #RaiderGang should probably just play in the Joe Nuxhall Classic and that is it. Then schedule just Big 10 teams and elite programs from non-Power Five Conferences. I do not know if that is possible, but that would help the Raiders for NCAA Regionals seeding purposes. After the season I will put together a list of teams that fit that bill.

Because a lot of the teams aren’t playing many, if any, out of conference games, the RPI is really skewed this year, and probably won’t carry the weight it does most years. From the 3 or 4 tournament projections I have seen this year, most still have the RaiderGang as a four seed in one of the regionals. Although they do have them as one of the higher 4 seeds.

Good point. I haven't look at any projections yet. With 12 games to go, plus the HL Tourney, I wanted to wait another two weeks before I looked at the lack of respect #RaiderGang gets. I am still hoping that if the Raiders can win out the rest of the season, a three seed is within reach. I agree that a two seed is not going to happen.

In today's games the Raiders out-score the Dons 50-9 with 12 home runs!

Set a whole bunch of 2021 HL baseball records today, as well as most runs in a series in program history.
