This is the first series that the team has something to push them. We were expected to win all previous league games but now we need to win both to tie for first place. We need two wins this weekend.

I'd like to add on to that and say that Cleveland State has a very soft back end of the schedule. They already swept NKU, YSU, IPFW, and IUPUI. They avoid Robert Morris, and get 3 of their last 5 series at Wolstein. After playing us they'll host Milwaukee and Green Bay, then they pop up to Oakland, have Detroit back in Cleveland, and end with two in Fort Wayne.
I'm not seeing a single game after this weekend that they aren't a big favorite in. On that note, Raiders are 9.5 point favorites.
All of that scheduling noise to say, nobody knows what postseason basketball is going to look like this year. Hopefully conference tournaments go off without a hitch, but I've read rumblings about smaller conferences potentially awarding the AQ bid to their regular season champ and foregoing a conference tournament.
Having said that...a sweep here would be huge. The season is a long way from over, but our league tiebreakers work down the results, so our losses to bottom feeding Oakland and Youngstown might not hurt us if we can win out.
Long road ahead, lots of surprising results in the conference so far surrounding WSU and CSU, so anything can happen. One thing I'm sure of, the Viking bench will be loud, even to the point of obnoxiousness, it's what they do and it's carried them. If we find ourselves down in an early hole, having their bench into the game could get frustrating for the players and fans watching at home.
Bottom line, we can't crap our shorts on national TV again. CSU isn't losing 2 games in conference play after they leave Fairborn.

Hey everyone, HoriZone Roundtable is going to start a weekly drinking game during the league’s TV games. This week, we'll be playing #HLMBB Weekend Tip(sy)-off tonight during the CSU-WSU broadcast! Sunce you guys will probably be on TV a lot through the end of the year, feel free to drop any ideas you have for rules in here or on Twitter at @horizonert

Bad start, and the stupid bench is acting like they won the NCAA championship.

This is a god damn joke. CSU has a dunk, a lay up, and is shooting FTs from another fast break opportunity. We are 0-2 from 3 now.

Looks kinda like Jaylon isn’t playing tonight also.

Pace is way too frantic. I feel like we're trying to win a 5 minute sprint not a 40 minute marathon. Settle down, block out the cheerleaders, and get into our flow.

5 of our 8 shots are from 3. That is not a recipe for a win.
