No two ways about this, we kicked some ass tonight.
We shot CSU out of the zone and that was the difference tonight. CSU turned us over more than normal, but nowhere near what they did last time out.
The better team won tonight no doubt. I hope we can pull it out tomorrow.
Now...do we want to see an NKU team that's beat us twice or a PFW team we've handled twice. I guess let's just hope for quadruple OT. Hell of a win. Wire to wire.

Great game tonight. The team grew up a lot this game. They handled the physicality incredibly well.
I'm also glad Welage threw the lob to Finke. That had to feel good!

If the Horizon League gods are controlling the outcome of the next game then it will be Northern Kentucky vs WSU tomorrow.

Monday's game will all come down to which Raider's team shows up. If we play timid against their zone and settle for a bunch of 3s, I think we are going to get run out of the gym. If we play aggressive and find a way to work the ball inside and play big boy basketball, I like our chances. The boys got the monkey off their back last night by avoiding that first game upset that has gotten us the last 2 years. CSU is the number 1 seed, and we are the number 4 seed this year. Everyone outside of our locker room and fanbase expects CSU to win. There is no pressure on us. It's all on them. I think we play better as the underdog. I think we play better when we feel disrespected. They beat us twice this year and we didn't play well in either game. They manhandled us both games playing very physical basketball. We should be motivated for some payback. Tonight we played big boy basketball. Way to go Raiders! |

WSU adjusted and played more physical! They just wanted it more and finally the talent between the two teams is truly shown. Great season from CSU and hope they can win some games in the NIT.
I'd rather see IPFW. We match up better. Also I really don't want there to be any shot NKU can go dancing.

Great win. Coach Nagy did a great job and great minutes from Norris tonight made a huge difference. Hopefully Tanner can return to form offensively tomorrow.
