First game was a tough loss with the Raiders positioned to win it going into the final inning. A two out RBI tied it before the home team walked it off in the extra frame. Hawaii dominated game two, with WSU mustering only two hits. A win tomorrow splits the series.

Hopefully we can salvage the series this afternoon. Dropping the doubleheader yesterday is a bit of a gut punch as Hawaii was a .500 team last year and we should have won this series if not swept it entirely. I believe this game will be in ESPN+ as well.

I believe this game will be in ESPN+ as well. Hawaii plays in a very tough baseball conference and finished about 30 points above us in the final rpi. So losing the series on the road isnβt quite a gut punch. I understand that we have very lofty expectations for the Raiders, and after winning the first game, a series win was definitely an achievable goal. Hopefully a split will be the final outcome. |

Raiders down 4-0 in the second after a wild throw moves runners up and back to back bunts hit about 6 total feet were completely muffed. Woof.

The Bows are just pounding WSU pitching. The Raiders are down 10-0 in the bottom of the 2nd. Hawaii is a good team, but they are not as good as U of L, UK or Arkansas. These are games we need to win.

Game 4 final 16-7. Raiders never in the game really as Alex Thesis got rocked before getting out of the 2nd inning. Raiders drop the series 3 games to 1.

A promising first inning start highlighted by a Julian Greenwell 2 run jack has turned to another rough start for Raider pitching, surrendering 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. Looks like we could be in for a slugfest this weekend.
Shirk is pulled in the 3rd trailing 5-3, 70 pitches thrown, 1 out, runners at 1st and 2nd. Needless to say, this wasn't the same crisp stuff we saw out of Shirk in game one in Hawaii.

Cats have added on against relief pitcher (and WKU transfer) Luke Stofel. Kentucky is 3-3 in stolen base attempts and are being very active on the basepaths. We looks fairly outmatched so far, but we've got the bats to get back into it. But true to our usual, this is another awful performance by our hurlers.
Still waiting for our offense to really get going this season. This is the third straight game with double digits hits allowed, and not once this season have we got into double-digit hits. Going to the 5th, Raiders trail 6-3.

Raiders routed again. 8-3 final. Hits 14 to 4.
Raiders were on the wrong end of 3 challenges (not that those are the reason we lost); one of which was blatantly overturned that even the UK broadcasters couldn't figure out. We're obviously not doing ourselves any favors, but the SEC officiating seems to be making some calls that clearly favor those signing the paychecks.

Raiders take game 2 12-9. We had a huge lead early, the bullpen let it get close, but two big insurance runs in the top of the 9th put it away. Gongora with the W.

Also, Northern Kentucky University baseball team completed a 3-game sweep of Western Michigan with a 27-4 victory on Sunday.
