Do the Raiders have MLB draft prospects again on this team? I see they are favored to win the league. Seems like it should be another pretty good team overall.

Second baseman Justin Riemer is rated the 164th best prospect in this year's MLB draft per ProspectsLive. LHP Sebastian Gongora is ranked #289 on the same list. |

Swept, and none of the games were particularly close. Had an early lead today, but as we all know, Raider pitching has been less than stellar so far this season.

As I watched the series at Arkansas I saw a lot of things I liked starting with the way our team battled in every game. Getting nine, 10 and eight hits against Arkansas is not to shabby.
In the first game both teams had nine hits and six walks. The problem was the Raiders couldn't string their hits together to produce runs. In fact, that was the problem all weekend. Arkansas out-scored Wright State 30-10. The Raiders have a potent offense. The pitching had some bright spots. In game three first-time starter Luke Stofel had a good outing with 6.0 IP, 5H, 2R, 1ER, 2BB, 6K. Which is about the same stats as Hunter Hollan the starter for Arkansas--6.0 IP, 5H, 1ER, 2BB, 5K.
RaiderGang will eventually breakout and string a bunch of hits together. When that happens Wright State will start to roll. The Arkansas color commentator said that when Arkansas looks aback at this series, they will point to this sweep as great series win. He said Wright State will be playing in a Regional again this year. Hawaii commentator said the Raiders are a strong team that the Rainbows were fortunate to get when were not firing on all cylinders. I hope the pitching will solidify which will take some of the pressure off of the offense.
So, it is not time to panic yet. I am betting on the Raiders getting to where they are expected to be in the hierarchy of college baseball.

Does Wright State always play this many home games in early March like they have coming up? I was surprised to see all the home games as I thought usually they'd be playing in the South more this time of year on the road. The weather for Friday's Army game, 38 degrees predicted. Yikes! Spring baseball in the Midwest early March is just not a good idea!

Miami lost to Dayton today 7-5. RaiderGang plays both schools in a few weeks.
Hawaii after taking three of four from the Raiders, went to a tournament in San Diego--they lost to SD State and San Diego, then crushed North Dakota State. Finally, they went to Minneapolis and beat Minnesota, lost to Nebraska and beat #18 Maryland. They now stand at 6-4.

Huge blow to the team today. Sophomore Justin Riemer has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. He's started all 11 games so far this season and was hitting .300 with 2 homers, 6 RBIs, & 9 runs scored.
