I am hoping for more Welage & Hube again this game. This is a perfect game to allow those guys to get some momentum and confidence to repeat what we saw against MIL. This is NOT the time to keep plowing minutes into Davis and Norris to see if they can create - in a game - whatever it is that the coaches "see" in practice. Give Finke some rest (10 minutes/game) and challenge the other guys to create the defensive intensity while he is out.
We need to build momentum as the season winds down to our tournament. I'd love to see more Sisley as well...and very limited use of any (4) guard alignment...unless those (4) guards are Calvin, Finke, Hube & Welage.

First four minutes have gone about a good as we could hope. This really shouldn't be much of a game, so I'm glad we're off on the right foot. We've got a questionable officiating crew tonight, so hopefully we have a clean game that doesn't require any major interjection by the officials.

Difference tonight is turnovers. Thursday we had I think 15 in the first half and tonight I believe we have 3. Obviously playing a different squad, but we're taking much better care of the ball. Up 25 at the half....not sure we can really ask for more, though some of the early fouls were a bit cheap.

Noel and Calvin are both in foul trouble early in the second half. Good thing we are up by 24 points.

Hope we just let the bench get the majority of the minutes the rest of the second half.

I hate playing on Saturdays from an officiating perspective. We get the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to tenured officials. This game has been called like it's a 4th grade girls developmental league. No pace in this second half with this amateur crew calling every possible touch.

I don't know what Green Bay is going to be able to do moving forward. They are still paying Linc Darner and now Will Ryan to not coach there. They are one of the more financially strapped teams in the league. I don't know how they are going to be able to afford to hire a decent coach, especially one willing to walk into that dumpster fire.

Probably not worth much, but Coach Brown suggested that the interim coach Freddie Owens deserves a shot. He's been on staff since 2020 and has held assisitant positions with three p5 schools. Would be a cheap hire while hemorrhaging funds to two different fired coaches.

Green Bay has a new AD this year and I don't think he would fire a really bad coach with a big buyout just to turn around and give one of his assistants the job.

Attendance was 5418. Almost 1000 more than our highest on the season (4488 vs Detroit). That's the highest attended conference game in the HL so far this season.
