Wright State is now 16-11, 9-7 in the HL.

Nice looking crowd, close to 6,000. Nice win. The team seems to be rolling nicely and I love this starting lineup.
Nagy was outspoken about HL scheduling in the postgame, says they need to move away from the travel partners in pursuit of more balance. Sited NKU playing 7/8 final games on the road.

I don't think it'll happen. The travel partners exist for the sake of travel convenience and to allow our kids to be students just as much as they are athletes. Going to single games will substantially increase travel costs as well. Imagine chartering two RT flights to Wisconsin for example. We could discuss more on another thread. The league still needs to try to replace UIC with a logical travel partner for an existing OH or IN school for maximum efficiency.

THAT was the best all around game they've played all year -- defense was awesome, and the turnout made it a fun game/great atmosphere. Hope it looked as good on TV as it felt to be there.

Looked great on TV. The students were loud, and I don't think they ever showed the NKU students that I heard were there. Bernfield and Padgett are great guys even though I'd prefer Chris and coach, they were commending the pedigree of our program, how much they love coming to the Nutter, and how our crowd shows out better than anyone else in the league.

Trey was Trey. Alex and Welage were really good. Noel and Braun were really good. Great senior night for Tim. That was a fun game and fun to see the play.

Nice. Not sure how many NKU students were there (did see them getting off a bus), but they were not very loud...probably helped that we came out strong right out of the gate.

He pointed out how most of the schools have limited say in the scheduling of their facilities (to include WSU,) due to lack of ownership, and that it puts the teams in bad spots sometimes. I doubt the changes he desires will ever come to fruition.

Did not seem like they had anyone there. Especially from past games. Great atmosphere for us though. It really makes a difference when we have high attendance and get into the game.

My hope was that the casual fans would have bought into Nagy’s program/winning by now and tonight’s crowd would be closer to the average instead of an outlier. Hard to draw folks out these days I guess with all of the entertainment options that are available.

Did I hear this right? Trey Calvin is coming back to WSU for a 5th season next year? That is outstanding. Go Raiders! It sure seems that way. Tonight was senior night and his chance to be recognized if he was planning on leaving. Also seems like Amari Davis could potentially return as well which would be nice.

Grant Basile graduated from Wright State last winter and could have participated in senior night too. We all know how that turned out for us. Trey and Amari have both said they plan on returning to Wright State next year. I think it’s obvious our entire fan base wants them back. I’m taking a wait and see approach before I get my hopes up too much. It’s easy for Trey to say he is coming back next year now and honestly meaning it. It’s much harder to stand by that decision in a couple of months when a bunch of Power 5 conference schools start throwing NIL money at him. I really hope he proves my doubts wrong.
