I’ve tried to not post and be negative lately, so I just want to say what a coaching masterpiece by Nagy on this run. I'm sure they learned a lot though.

Nagy was able to recognize that Logan Woods was a key part to the WSU run. So we better not put him in again, because reasons. Or something.

Very frustrating. Once again, a long dry spell changes it from up 10 to down 10. But the continuing problem is once again we gave up 49 points in the second half.

How is it that the team across town seems to never choke during these big games but we always seem to find a way. Just when you think this team will turn a corner, they bring you back down to reality. This game only showed me that Woods needs to play more.

Wright State has now played 2 Horizon League 2-game-in-3-day road trips.
In the 2nd game of each trip they built a 9 point 2nd half lead only to be outscored 79-43 and lose both.

Or something. What we saw tonight was Nagy get outcoached by Calhoun. I think this team will finish 12-8 in league play owing mainly to how bad the bottom three teams in the league are. The frustrating thing (or good thing) is they have shown they are capable of putting together a three game stretch. Just frustrating as a fan to see a third straight underachieving regular season out of this program.

Maybe the starters wouldn't be so tired if they hadn't needlessly played so many minutes against Robert morris.
Reminds me of the year he said early in the year these are young kids and they don't get tired. Then whined late it the year the kids were tired. Arrggh.

I have been waiting on Wright State to "turn the corner" since 1979

A coach that somehow is horrible with timeout management even though they have years of experience. Team has a lot of talent but can't seem to put it together. "Rookies" get zero playing time even though they look good when they do. Plays down to their competition. Able to win a string a games and show promise of turning a corner, only to crap the bed and have an embarrassing loss. Someone said they have been waiting for WSU to turn the corner since 1985. We deserve a program that is dancing each year. Losing in the HL is just embarrassing.

I have been waiting on Wright State to "turn the corner" since 1979 You don't think the Raiders turned the corner in the early 80's when they went 5-0 versus Div I opponents? Or when they won the Div II National Championship in 1983?

I may be wrong, but I get the idea that Coach Nagy is not that enthusiastic about coaching. He seems to be a straight-up old style coach and hasn't changed with the times. The YSU coach has reloaded with several players from the portal. We have one, who wanted to return and one so girl friend would join Women’s team. In the past, probably, half of transfers have not played much. It is okay to disagree with me.

As much as he’s on the players about wanting it more, he doesn’t seem to have much passion during the games or in his interviews. “Our team is tired” or “our guys are soft” or “I don’t know how to get them to play defense” or “this team just wanted to beat WSU since we’ve been great” is so tired and just excuse making with absolutely nothing changing. This program is just not a serious program right now and should be treated as such.
