Duly noted, and consider it now retired (like me). I'll go back to my youth and use "lay an egg". How about "piss down his legs?" I know Big D has used that in the past. D would definitely say this team pissed away most of this season. We aren’t discussing 3rd and 4th grader basketball. We are talking about college athletes who are getting a free education and now getting paid to play. I not only think they can handle hearing someone say they crapped the bed most of this season. I think most of them will agree with that assessment.

One thing I hope Coach Nagy got out of this game is that he can trust his bench more than he does. I'm not sure we win that game if players hadn't gotten into foul trouble. Cleveland State was obviously more athletic and quicker than our starters, but foul trouble forced Nagy to play our freshman, who are inexperienced, but a tad quicker than some of our starters and other reserves. (I think the incoming recruits, and our current red shirt players will also help improve our team speed/quickness/athleticism next year.) But to my point, playing KK, Logan and Drew made our team a little smaller, but quicker and better defensively. Cleveland State's offense was not built on passing and movement, other than screening for Lowder to get open, but more on out quicking and beating their defender to the basket and to getting to the rebound on missed shots. Granted the freshman made a few mistakes and on occasion got beat a few times by CSU's experienced players, but overall they held their own. Normally Coach would pull the players after a mistake, but because of the foul trouble he couldn't pull them and was forced to give them more of a chance to play. We actually cut into the lead for awhile with the freshman on the floor, and certainly didn't lose any ground. It also kept our starters much more rested and able to hit shots at the end of the game and overtime. My guess is that the foul trouble helped us win that game. But it's just a theory, as we don't know how the game would have played out had the starters not been in foul trouble. Hopefully this game will help Nagy realize he can use/trust the bench more than he has been. I know wishful thinking My thoughts exactly.

I apologize if this has been addressed, but I searched and didn't see a previous post about him. He was not dressed the last time I looked for him. It just occurred to me last week that he hasn't played at all this year and I don't really miss him. That's kind of sad considering he was a starter last year.

OG Raiderfan... THIS moron who said there was a lot of crow being served after the game was strictly referring to Alex's performance in this game, and how he should be off the team, etc. I wasn't referring to the team's performance on the whole this year. I think this is the second time you've used derogatory terms when referring to me or my posts over the last few games, and I'm pretty tired of it and your high and mighty opinions. As much a right as you have to piss and moan, I have the same right to see things in a little more positive light.

Those new guys will have a red-shirt under their belts and are 6'2" & 6'3" and each about 180 lbs. That's excellent size in any league - especially the HL. Maybe those new guys are more 2/3 than PG?

Well if Keaton is looking for an excuse not to play he went all out, buying that knee scooter on ebay shows commitment to the story.

NORRIS REDSHIRTING: Wright State’s Keaton Norris, a 6-foot sophomore guard, is being redshirted this year. He started 13 games last season and played in all 33 games, averaging 20.6 minutes and 3.0 points.
But Trey Calvin’s decision to come back for a fifth season meant a reduced role for the Hilliard Bradley product.
“It was mostly his decision,” Nagy said. “We tried a little bit last year to play both of them together, and it didn’t really work out. He felt like he wasn’t going to see the time he wanted to see.”

Are you confusing Keaton Norris with Braden Grant, who was injured and been moving around on a knee scooter for the past month or so?

I blame my stat guy who convinced it was Keaton had surgery.
Now I really don't know which is worse. That we have a player on our roster who red shirted because he can't compete for playing time. Or that we have a coach who would throw that player under the bus by pointing it out.
