Hey, there is a game in a few hours against Oakland. Glad the Raiders got an extra day of rest before this game. The Raiders pulled away from Detroit on Thursday night, but four of the five starters still played a ton of minutes. Hope to see a complete game from Wright State. The team needs to be ultra focused and eliminate the stupid turnovers caused by low percentage passes. A win against Oakland on the road will send a message to the Horizon League that WSU is the team in the drivers seat for a return to the NCAA Tourney. WSU still has three games left in the regular season, but the game against NKU next week, most likely will be for the fourth seed. Hope Nagy has his sub patterns set. The freshmen are still not getting enough minutes. The return of Welage is encouraging, but he looks like he lost a step or two while being out. Go Raiders!!!

If we shoot our typical percentage along with reducing turnovers, we can win this game. We missed so many easy shots the first time around. Regarding the freshmen, Logan seems to be playing with a lot of confidence, and Drey does well, but seems like certain matchups are better for him...can't recall how he fared in the first matchup with Oakland. While I like KK, I hold my breath every time he brings the ball down the court -- seems like he is still playing too fast, often finds himself too far under the bucket with nowhere to go, and is a little too quick with his shot. I understand the sentiment that the freshmen aren't getting enough minutes, but here we are with a few games left, so I wouldn't count on that changing when we are fighting for a top 4 seed. It is what it is at this point.

I'd like to see Wellage and maybe Logan play a little more. Keep Drey about where he is now, and keep KK on the bench. There's only 3 games left, plus the tourney. We aren't going to wearing out the starters by continuing to play them 32-34 minutes. They are 20 year olds, they can handle it. The only time it should be a concern is if the game goes at a quick pace without stoppages. But if there are normal amounts of fouls called, there is enough stop time to get some rest while still in the game, plus the media timeouts.
Seems like 30-40 years ago it was common for guys to play 36, 38, or 40 minutes, and full court press the whole game. There also was no shot clock, so you had to defend for longer. Wasn't any concerns back then about wearing a team out. And the nutrition and training is so much better today. These kids can certainly handle playing in the mid 30 minutes per game. If a bench player earns the time, give it to him. But if he's turning the ball over, and taking bad shots, keep him on the bench, and let him learn in practice.
As for getting experience for next year, that's fine if we can build a 15+ point lead. But putting 3 or 4 subs in when up 4 usually leads to us being down 2 when the starters check back in. Keep the subs to max of 2 on the court together (at least 3 starters still on the floor). Whenever the 3 freshmen are on the court together, our scoring comes to a grinding halt.

Vegas has Wright State as a 4.5 point underdog.
The only 2 times WSU has been a larger underdog this season is @ Colorado St & @ Indiana
WSU has been favored, or within +3.5 in every other game this season

Just echoes how much many fans feel that this team has underachieved this season.

Wow -- that foul call on Alex was complete bogus. Never touched the guy.

Intensity is pretty good so far -- still a couple of dumb turnovers, but a much better start against them than last time. We fell in love with the 3 too much for a bit there.

After that ridiculously long 3 pointer to put us down by one at the half, great to see us come out and take control again on offense. Up 11 (51-40)...hope we can keep it going...

Great game so far from Braun. It feels like his offensive game has gotten even better as the season has gone along.

Raiders by 17 points with 8:15 left in the game. Again, we get another crappy female announcer. When you play in a crappy conference, you get crappy announcers.
