The two guys who 'turned it on' the most at halftime were Holden and Noel IMO. Tanner wasn't taking any ish from their PG and got his butt to the rim with authority (finally) Wish I could have heard what Nagy said to Holden in the halftime locker room. It was evident he challenged Holden to take over the game. Tanner drew 4 fouls in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. DQ Cole seemed to take it personally and tried to take over the game himself. This also worked in the Raiders favor. Cole is not nearly the player Holden is, and also not the player Townsend is. In the first 12 minutes of the 2nd Half Cole took 6 shots. In the same timeframe Townsend only took 3 shots, making one. Cole also finished 1/6 from 3-point, the only make was the fluky deep 3 to end the first half. I watch a TON of college basketball and it is comical how many times over the years teams hit a desperation shot to end the 1st half vs Wright State. It is virtually nonexistent across all other games I watch. Few more notes... I agreed with Oakland announcers that every loose ball seemed to bounce WSU's way. AJ Braun's left hand is developing before our eyes and he's using it more and more Noel had a double-double in the 2nd half alone (15 PTS, 11 REB) Oakland analyst, Suzy Merchant, was Michigan State's long time WBB Head Coach. Hoping she can get better in the broadcast booth with more seasoning.
