Really good matchup, bad time for the game. Too bad we didn't win a few more of the games we let slip away earlier this year. ESPN might have given us a better time slot. Regardless, Hostrawill be a good addition to the schedule.

Even Cleveland State ended up with a 1:00 pm Sunday game. Better than 11:00 am Saturday I suppose but I don't know that our attendance would have been that much improved even in that time slot.
Athletics has done a good job promoting our games so far this season - hopefully they'll have something for this one as well. Free hot dogs for the students this Thursday being the most recent example.

Also, I don't know how much of a cross-over attendance we have but UD host a game at the Arena at noon the same day as our 11:00 am tip.

Btw, I dug up the box score from the Northeastern game. The attendance was listed at 5,301. No way there were actually that many people there. I would be thrilled to see 5000+ there for Hofstra.

Love the match up hate the time! It sure won't help with UD playing at noon but my main concern is getting the students up and to the Nutter Center.
Maybe they can promote "coffee and donuts" to the students if they still have their pajamas or slippers on?
Their are a whole bunch of folks still working at 11:00 in the morning so hopefully we can get over 5,000 for the game. Since we'll be on the "U" maybe that will help the locals and students see the significants of the game.

The students need to step up and have an early morning tailgate party somewhere near campus, ala what the OSU students do before a noon game at the Horseshoe. Call it Kegs & Eggs. Have the Athletic Dept get a bus and take em from there to the Nutter. Bald Raider guy can probably make it happen.

Beer and eggs sound tasty lol

Considering WSU is a dry campus, I don't think that is going to happen.

That's why I said "somewhere near campus". I think all University's are dry now. Back in the day, WSU served beer in the Student Union. So did my undergradute school. Sadly those days are now gone. The behavior Nazi's have taken over.

You also said........... Have the Athletic Dept get a bus and take em from there to the Nutter. The athletic department cannot drive students to/from an event sponsoring drinking when we have a dry campus. It would never make it by WSU's legal department. And I completely agree that it is retarded to have a dry campus when we serve beer at the Nutter Center. If the students are 21, we should treat them like adults and let them make their own decisions.

I don't know if the McLin gym is being used the morning of the BB game but we should open it up at 9 AM the morning of the game to students/fans for some indoor tailgating with coffee/hot chocolate and donuts. Get the band to play some and try to get Donlon to stop by to say a few words to the students to get them pumped up for the game.

The breakfast in McLin sounds like a great idea. Donuts and coffee would be the easiest. I'd love to see us contract with Dunkin to handle it, but I'm sure our Nutter Ctr. contracts would prohibit that. Eggs are good, but hotcakes might be good as well. Get the Alumni Assoc. involved as well. I'm going to email friends to see if I can encourage folks to attend.

I'm with all of you guys. I hope the turnout is better than it was last time we had a BB at 11am tip. That time slot is hard on a Saturday given the activities parents and kids are involved in.
The breakfast idea is a good one.
