It may be wishful thinking but I can hope. For the record I'll be pulling for Butler tomorrow up in Cleveland ( I'll also be rooting for another YSU upset special .

WSU is having a White out T-shirt give away to try to bring in a bigger crowd for the BB game.

WSU is having a White out T-shirt give away to try to bring in a bigger crowd for the BB game. I love the concept of having a free t-shirt give away. It really is brilliant marketing from the stand point that you are getting, in effect, 5,000 "mini billboards" out in the public promoting Wright State basketball. I am assuming that much of the cost if not all of the cost of the T-shirt is covered by the sponsors on the back of the shirts which makes it a low cost way to advertise AND entice folks to come out to the games. After Saturday's game with Hofstra their will be a total of 10,000 Wright State T-shirts out in the circulation for the public to see. It will certainly help with public perception when you see folks with WSU shirts on all over town. If the athletic dept can do this promotion several times a year we they can flood the market with the Wright State name! Next year instead of the free tickets for the "Raiders represent night" I would add another free T-Shirt night and get as many "walking billboards" out there as possible. This is assuming you can continue to pick up sponsor ship to help with the cost.

To your point Rock, I can't believe how many people I've seen at my gym in the past month wearing the black Wright State shirt that was given away during the blackout game. People that I had no idea went to Wright State or went to Wright State games.
Season ticket holders also got vouchers that they can give to their family/friends that are redeemable for a ticket to the Bracketbuster game Saturday = more exposure and bigger crowd.

I also love the idea of creating "walking billboards" with the free t-shirts. I hope we are able to end the year strong on the court and with fan turnout.
