I'm going to root for UWM to win it....but I'd say the Butler CSU winner cuts down the nets.... Butler imho I want anyone except UWM. With their crappy record and RPI they will get a 15 or 16 seed in the tournament. I don't want our only HL rep in the NCAA tournament to be a 15 or 16 seed.

For the sake of the league, Butler needs to lose in the championship game. A win over CSU and close play against either UWM or Valpo will potentially give the HL two bids. Worst case scenario is CSU losing to Detroit in the finals. We'd get one bid at a 15 or 16 seed.

Tough way to end the season. I was really hoping we could keep that string of 20 win seasons going.

Thanks Vaughn Duggins, N'Gai Evans, Cooper Land, and Troy Tabler. I know it wasn't the end to your senior season you wanted, but your contributions to the program have been appreciated and will be remembered.

Billy Donlon really couldn't catch a break this year. He started his coaching career by having to rebuild 2/3 of his roster. He lost Cartharn for the year. Vaughn played 2/3 of the year with a broken back. Troy missed 10 games with a broke finger and even though he came back, he was never the shooting threat he was earlier in the year. Cooper missed time due to his knee injury flaring up. Almost all of the underclassmen missed time at one point or another due to injuries. And to end it all, Evans had the flu tonight.
He really did an amazing job with limited resources this year. I look forward to watching what he can do over the next few years as he keeps building up his roster.

I'm sad that the season is over, but I am already getting excited looking towards the future of the program.
