Is anyone still following the HL tournament? If so, are you guys rooting for Butler so they get a better NCAA tournament seed or for UWM in the hope that we can get 2 HL teams into the NCAAs?

Its a toss up. If Butler wins i think that might improve their seeding which maybe they would make a deeper run in the NCAA tournament, but it would be nice to have 2 teams in the tournament.

Yea I'm a bit torn. Lunardi has UWM as a 15 seed right now so I can't really see them beating Nortre Dame who is matched up with them at the moment. It'd be nice to have 2 teams in the tournament because that's more of a chance to get a team to the 2nd round, but giving Butler a more realistic shot might be best.

This is out of left field, but I think if Butler or Michigan State get an at large bid then it is a complete joke.
Butler is 22-9 but haven't beat a ranked team all year long and their best wins are against Florida State & Washington State, both on a neutral court. They do have some quality losses but as a mid major that doesn't mean squat. Everyone knows Butler can compete with anyone on a given night but I don't think they have done enough to secure an at large bid.
Michigan State is 17-13 and their only impressive wins are at home against Wisconsin and on a neutral court against Washington (both games were with Korey Lucious). They also have some quality losses, but still from when Lucious was on the team. Unless Michigan State makes a deep run in the Big Ten tourney I don't see how anyone can justify putting them in the Big Dance.

And that's why at large bids are 90% name recognition. You can say that again.

Butler is a lock for the field regardless of what happens tomorrow night. Joe Lunardi has them as a 12 seed, so I will be rooting for Milwaukee so we get 2 teams in the dance.
