Personally I think he should retire from all contact sports. Five is way too many, and the more you have the more likely or susceptible you'll be for subsequent ones. Kendall, you're a great young man and player, but henceforth don't hit anything harder than your books. Best of everything for your future. Question...Will one of the 2 young men not dressing now move up to be on the team? The decision to stop playing is up to Kendall and his doctor. He may or may not be back this year. That decision is theirs to make. Either way, the plan is to red-shirt Parker and Zach this year. If we weren't going to play them this year after Sledge was kicked off the team, I doubt that changes now. JT Yoho will be back soon and we have 2 freshman guards (Evans and Mitchell) that will get more minutes.

I may be wrong, but if Karena, R. Davis, and S. Davis are as prone to foul as they appear to be, I'd expect every team to attack the basket in hopes of drawing fouls or getting an open path to the hoop as we attempt to avoid the foul. With only 4 big men we are inviting them to attack the hoop. In fact, I'd expect to see our opponents fighting for even more offensive boards in hopes of getting more rebounds/shots and to draw more fouls. Every DI team we face will have at least 6 or more big men, so they can afford to lose one or two along the way. If we lose 2 or 3 we will definitely be hurting.
I hope and assume that we'll shoot better as the season progresses, but our shooting 40% from the field and 22% from the arc against a DI team should at least raise some initial concerns.
I know the decision on Griffin will be made by him, medical personnel, and probably with advice from his family. But his frequency of having concussions raises a huge flag for him to recognize. He may have already guaranteed himself some medical problems later in his life that he should be made aware of. I know Dr. J could offer more insight into this situation if he wishes to join the conversation.

Boggs: Kendall won't play anytime soon, just a guess.

I don't know how much Kendall has in common with the OSU player that recently took his own life, maybe nothing more than having 5 concussions. But I would hope that Kendall would pay very serious attention to that situation and give serious thought to his own story in conjunction with discussing his case with his family. Playing basketball is a lot of fun, but so is living the rest of your life in good mental health.

Boggs reports no significant issues with Hopkins or S. Davis from Urbana game. Hopkins will play, Davis questionable, although x-rays were negative. However, Kendall is nowhere close to returning.
