I would say my opinion of N'Gai has changed, he finished the season well. I hope to see him as a very valuable backup guard for us next year. He shoots foul shots well, he drives to the basket well and usually makes his layups unlike certain other players. The biggest knock on him which I still think is true, is that he is not an observant passer, does not see the floor as well as he should and therefore does not get the assists that I would like to see. My opinion of N'Gai as a point guard has changed somewhat. To his credit over the last 3 or 4 games he seems to be trying to look for the open man. N'Gai has the skills to be a solid point guard he just seems to lack that intangible. I like the term you used djohde with "obsevant passer". With our last scholarship I'm still hoping for a JUCO point guard but I would not complain at all if we land a JUCO post player that can contribute right away. What I don't want is a JUCO post player that can't come in and contribute from the start. I'd take another Cory Cooperwood in a heart beat. Now if he were 2 or3 inches taller then Cory all the better ;D. If we knew JDG was going to be healthy then a point guard wouldn't even be a consideration with JDG at the point and N'Gai backing him up but that is such and unknown. I hope I'm not too dissappointed in our last scholarship because I have high hopes for how we'll use it.

Assuming that the cost is do-able I would love to see us in either the Insider.com or CBI tournament.
If the CBI is still at $60k then I say no thank you and turn to the Insider.com tournament.
Sure their not the NCAA or NIT but it is another tournament and a chance for our returning players to continue on.

My only comments on the Butler game:
- Our boys played their hearts out and I'm proud of the team effort.
- It is so hard to over come the foul differential and win at Hinkle
- After Matt Howard finishes his basketball career at Butler I highly recommend that Wright State's Theater Department offer him a full scholarship. Anybody that can "act" like N'Gai, a 155lb guard, and actually push him ten feet to the ground deserves an Emmy.
- If our student section next year does not have an Emmy with Matt Howards face on it to present to him at our game I'll be very disappointed.
- Yes I will be rooting for Butler in the NCAA's because it reflects on the Horizon League.
- I will be rooting for Cleveland State so that we can get two teams in the NCAA's.
I can't wait for next season to begin!!

whoa i saw this while googling. If this is so then great, but how will they have a broadcast that's any different from HLN? Maybe that site hasn't been informed of the switch, but hey i'll check it out and will be tremendously grateful if this actually works. This site carries all of the espn 360.com broadcast so I would assume they are using espn's feed and not the crappy Horizon Leagues feed. I've been using this site for a good two years. I also watch Fox News and tons of soccer games from this site.

Scott Grote's penetration in the lane has been the difference in the game so far. Man if Scott can consistantly play like this we would be a lot better offensively.

We need Cory back in the game.
Dang, for a team that has won 9 games all year they sure are playing hard even when they were down double digits multiple times.
Our guard play needs to pick it up or we're going to lose this game.

Valpo's three's are killing us and keeping them in the game. I can't believe we are only up four points.

Valpo has to LOVE that Will Graham shot a three. They have snicker everytime he shoots one.

Keith, that was very well said and I pretty much agree with your break down of our team next year.
I know, and rightfully so, that most have been screaming that we need a legitimate post player but I think with our last scholarship we need a JUCO point guard. As you mentioned JDG is our only true point guard and we don't even know if he be able to play next year or will his foot, hip, or ankle flare up again. I know I'm in the minority on this one but I wouldn't be surprised if we pursue a point guard especially since we already landed Darkwa.
It seems to me that over the last ten games we have been at our best when Cory and Scott or at the two forward spots with Todd at the wing. It sure makes us small but it is probably our most athletic combination we can put on the floor. Heck when Butler made a run to the sweet 16 two years ago their starting center was 6-7 Brian Ligon.
So in summary I think we first need to fill the point guard position then hope that Darkwa can provide us some post play.

If we win tonight do we get the third seed? What has to happen for us to get the third seed?

Butler up 38 - 32 at the half over Cleveland State
Norris Coles hits a 3 to end the half to cut Butler's lead to six points.
Come on Butler!!! I'm still holding out for a third place finish.
