Title IX doesn't stipulate anything about what a women's team coach has to be paid in relation to the men's team coach in the respective sport. Title IX says female students have to be treated equally and fairly with equal access and opportunities as male students. In a nut shell there can't be discrimination based on gender.
The ironic twist with Title IX in regards to women coaches is that when it was passed in the early 70's 90% of women sports teams in all divisions of the NCAA were coached by a woman. Today less than 40% of NCAA women's teams are coached by a woman. Granted, there are significantly more universities sponsoring sports today meaning there's tremendously more women's teams than ~45 years ago and more women coaches. That said, last year, in ladies D I basketball only 58% of teams were coached by a woman and this past Final Four was the first time in history all 4 teams were coached by a man.

Doliboabros, one less thing to worry about ( never had a doubt that WSU would follow the rules though ). I had tried to google search the concept but, could only get to close to what mrose came up with. I knew Billy's and Bradbury's pay so, I believed the percentage thing about Title IX could be a factor with this hire. So, does this hurt any of our other sports?

It's possible it could impact other sports. The pie is only so big and it has to be divided proportionally between men's and women's programs. So, either the pie has to become larger (possible) or another men's program will get a smaller piece than what it had before.

Wright State was already ahead of the curve and was spending more on women's sports than what is mandated. We are still within the required range even with the increased spending on men's basketball.

That is a relief, Big D. I had thought the difference in spending would allow some cushion but, after reading some of the other posts on Title IX, I was afraid that other men's programs would have a problem.
Big D, do you know if Coach Nagy has any interest in a weekly radio show? I hope he does but, whatever his routine is...keep it up.

My guess would be yes but that is just my guess.
