pretty sad. only two hl teams in post season. did our ladies make the wnit?? Pretty sad conference champ gets a #7 seed. Just shows how poorly the Horizon LeCrone is regarded. NCAA doesn't select women's field until tomorrow evening....WNIT will be after.

Pitt, the only win-less conference program in the nation, could have played in the CIT if they wanted to pay the $$$ and further tarnish their image.

But this one is only for the “mid-majors”. (So, Pitt was saved from tarnishing their image in this tourney.) I can tolerate this tournament only for the fact that mid-majors get very little consideration for at large bids in the Big Dance or the NIT which are both run by the NCAA. Granted the NIT at least takes league champions if the don’t make the NCAA, but I think only 3 at large bids went to mid majors in the NIT, granted I haven’t looked and that may be all that were worthy after the league champs are put in,

Not the best news for NKU or the HL as a whole but it does help us in our pursuit of winning the HL next year.

Williams was a good player at NKU, but not a superstar. This really makes no sense to me. I don't think he's on the radar of top P5 schools. Maybe he'll end up at Pitt. Their entire team is leaving.

Very curious to know what is causing this mass exodus YSU’s coach is clearing out space for new recruits. He wants to run a very uptempo system and doesn’t think Slocum’s holdover players fit that mold.

This could probably be in its own thread, but since it is an HL thing, I posted here. Wright State’s Benzinger to represent Horizon League at Final Four SPORTS By Jay Morrison - Staff Writer Wright State’s Grant Benzinger will represent the Horizon League in the inaugural 3-on-3 National Championship this weekend at the Final Four in San Antonio. A selection committee of basketball experts from national media outlets picked Benzinger as one of four Horizon League representatives in the inaugural 3-on-3 National Championship this weekend during the Final Four in San Antonio. Benzinger will team with Oakland’s Jalen Hayes and Kendrick Nunn and Northern Kentucky’s Lavone Holland II to compete against other all-star teams from the 32 Division I conferences in a three-day tournament that runs Friday through Sunday. The tournament will take place at St. Mary’s University’s Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio. The preliminary rounds will air on Twitter, while ESPN2 will broadcast the semifinals and finals. t.co/E9GLNJYyK4Link to first 8 teams picked: t.co/X2wu1oP8it
