I just received an email today from the WSU Athletic Office. Season ticket holders will receive complementary tickets for next Tuesday's Quarterfinals game. The complementary tickets will be emailed to all season ticket holders by this Wednesday. Premium tickets will be $10 and all other seats will be $5. All parking lots will be open on a first come- first served basis. And this will be a double header with the Women tipping off at 5:30 and the Men's game starting at 8pm. Go Raiders!

I was happy to see that they are automatically sending out tickets to all season ticket holders, but even more excited that they are doing a double-header deal to try to pack the place. $5 to see both games is a steal; the arena should be pumped, and there should be a great turnout for the games. Hopefully both our teams can lock up 1-seeds and make it all the more exciting. I didn't look into it, but I assume there are free tickets for all students?..
However, there's a great deal of basketball to be played this weekend yet. 6 teams are jostling for 2 spots to host a home game, and we literally have no clue who we are going to be playing in the quarterfinals. I said in the other thread the game to watch is Oakland and UIC, but there are seeding implications in every game this weekend.
I certainly do not want to see Detroit or UIC in the first round. UIC got us twice already this season, and Detroit has an infatuation with trying to get Love ostracized from the league, which would certainly bring an unwelcoming tension to the Nutter Center. I'd just rather avoid the Mike & Antoine Davis crapstorm as well as their deranged fans with their aggression towards Big Lou.

The way the offense is clicking now I don’t think we should fear any of them. If we can go to Wisconsin and beat up on those two pretty well I will feel pretty good about playing UIC. If I remember right the first UIC and Detroit games the lid was on our basket.

Oakland has locked up the 3 seed in the league tournament, and Green Bay will be the 4 seed. Still lots to play for, but at least the 4 home teams are locked up.

My sleepers to win it would be Green Bay or UIC...I think about any of the 8 teams could win the tournament as past years have shown. How will wsu shoot the 3 ball I think will be their key...our guards have really struggled shooting the 3 many games.

Two wins by a combined 13 points, so we will certainly be getting a ball game from the Jags.

So the odds are certainly stacked against Detroit.

And we have never had a HL format like this before so anything is possible.

A few other league fans are saying we won't make it out of the semis. Not a terrible analysis as we are 1-3 against the two teams we could possibly face.
I know we've got IUPUI in front of us first, but I'm curious who Raider Nation thinks we fare better against.
Personally I'd love to deliver a big fat L to Steve McClain, but that's just a personal vendetta I guess.

A few other league fans are saying we won't make it out of the semis. I don't give a rat's ass what fans of other HL teams think. The bottom line is we can win or lose against anyone in this conference on any given night based on how we play. If we play at our best no one can beat us in the league. If we don't we can lose to anyone in this league. We control our own destiny.

This tournament is a total and complete toss up to me considering how we can fight hard and win over the league co-champion on one night and then nearly lose to the worst team in the league on another night. I have no idea what to expect from this team on any given night. That being said I am thankful to be in our current situation and am just going to enjoy the ride! GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!
