I didn't say the NIT was better I said I was okay with it and if you follow college basketball to know who I own it as you probably know who Wright State is to

A big mea culpa here from kfx. a while back I posited that we may be better off as a program if we got to the nit with a chance to win a couple of games instead of going to the ncaa and gettin a 30 pt butt whipping. looking back st that I realize I failed to consider a very important consideration. we now have team in the league three years winning their second invite to the dance. their other year I think they won regular season tile. in other words in three years they have established themselves as the best team in the hl. that is really annoying. seems like valpo did the something similar. I guess we can hope that since they are graduating their best player things will change, maybe the coach will move on or maybe who know maybe their whole program moves on. I just do not have a good feeling about where this is heading and I am pissed that we still cannot be the dominant program in this crappy league. NKU has been in the HL for 4 years now, not 3. Their first year they were 9-21 and finished in 8th place. In year 2 they went 24-11, tied for 3rd and made it to the NCAAs. In year 3, they went 22-10, won the HL but went to the NIT. And this year they tied for first and are going back to the NCAAs. This is their coach’s 4th year there And this is his first full team of his players that he just won the tournament with. Nagy is in his 3rd year at Wright State and still being hamstrung by not having a full roster of his recruits. If you look at his first 3 seasons it is pretty similar to NKUs coach. He went 20-12 his first year, 25-10 last year making the NCAAs and went 22-13 this year going to the NIT. I’m excited as hell to see what he is going to do with our team next year with all of his own players. I think we are clear cut favorites to win the conference next year and go dancing.

Future is definitely bright if everyone stays and are healthy and work on finishing at the basket.

This loss doesn't diminish the pride I feel for this team. Onward to the NIT!
