First #1 seed to win a tournament game in 4 years. Also, we hit that magical 20 win number! Good momentum all around heading to LCA.

IUPUI's official twitter said that their 52-26 deficit (which later grew) was their largest deficit of the entire season. A nice nod to our defensive pressure for sure.

UIC/GB are tied up with under 3 minutes to go. I don't know who I want to win. Coach Brown on post game show stated he'd personally rather play GB. That we didn't match up very well with UIC. GB plays a very different style of basketball which can be difficult to prepare for but since we just played them a week ago that aspect is negated a bit. If we play like we did last night though it doesn't matter who the opponent is. Incredible defense. Minnett and Justice have both made more 3's this season than anyone on our team and IUPUI's entire team didn't have a made 3 until late in the 2nd half.

Mark and Malachi were in Justice's trunks the whole game. I've never seen such belly-to-belly defense. Six free throws and one field goal for the game. The box score is badly skewed because of the late flurry when we subbed out and stopped playing any sort of defense and went street ball.

Mark did this to the grad transfer at Milwaukie Saturday night. He is one of there top scorers and only needed 3 points to reach 1,000, he didn't get it until sometime in the second half. I think these were the only points he scored. Mark is a bad night waiting to happen for somebody.

Awfully tempting to root for the Titans tonight, but I don't know that you want the Titans getting on a roll with the phenom Freshman and basically playing at home. For the last three years, the home court advantage has done next to nothing for Detroit and Oakland, so I guess I'll stick with that feeling.
In the other matchup, Oakland split with the Norse earlier this season and have won 4 straight, so you'd think they'd have the best shot to take down NKU in the semis, but YSU certainly has been on the up and up and kept it close with NKU in both matchups this season. YSU also upset Oakland at the blacktop earlier this season, so look for Oakland to play tough at home trying to avenge that loss.
