Ouch. Guessing there's no money in our budget to match any offers our assistants get these days. We have/had a really solid staff - hate seeing assistants leave for other assistant coach jobs. |

I don't know what we pay our assistant coaches compared to other schools but my guess is that we wouldn't have been able to compete with Colorado State even if we weren't having budget problems. We pay Nagy 500K. Colorado State pays their head coach 750K. I assume there is a similar difference between what they pay assistants vs what we pay ours. It's too bad we are losing Brian. I thought he would be our next head coach when Nagy eventually moves on. Oh well, this gives us an opportunity to bring in a new assistant that may have new ideas or that brings in new recruiting contacts that will help us going forward. |

I don't know anything about him but always excited when someone local gets added to the team. I hope he has developed in the time since he last took the court and can provide some valuable minutes. |

In thinking about this, I wonder what the pay structure is for foreign players, especially in Europe where the lockdowns are still going in. Can these clubs afford foreign players this year? That is why I think Love could return. It may take another year of vaccination and opening up economies for the better paying Euro clubs to be able to pay guys like Love what they deserve. |

I've been struggling with this since the end of the season. I'd love to see Loudon come back for another year and have the chance to hear the fans cheering for him and celebrating him on Senior night. On the other hand, an athlete is at risk of injury every time he gets on the floor and Loudon takes a lot of hits both in practice and in games. Going directly to a paying opportunity would be best for him if he has that chance. But if Europe is still shut down he's going to need to keep up his conditioning and get some game time in order to keep his skill set fresh. He knows he's loved here and will be playing with guys he knows.
He's a good guy and I know he'll make a good decision.
