Forgive my ignorance, but has that ever happened before? ? ? Yes, Raiders received a solo vote in one week of the AP poll last year (I think, it might have been 2 years ago). The seasons blur together.

Maybe I'm the only one that wasn't aware of this, but this is a gigantic crock of shit. The league screwed the pooch on this magical formula and we're going to be screwed out of raising a banner, even if it's a co-championship banner. We're leading pratically every possible NCAA-sanctioned metric, but a "tougher schedule" screws us over again. We've got to get out of this ass clown conference one way or another. We've added enough shit trash teams and have been screwed over a few too many times. I hope Nagy and BG see through this for the pile of steaming dung it is. End rant.

College hoops mid-majors to keep an eye on www.yardbarker.com/college_basketball/articles/college_hoops_mid_majors_to_keep_an_eye_on/s1__34110941#slide_5"Loudon Love has been a special player for the Raiders for four years. As a senior, he leads the team with 16.7 points and 10.2 boards this season and Wright State to the top of the Horizon standings. He's the program's all-time leading rebounder and is a few points away from reaching the top five in scoring. Wright State is also one of the most tight-knit teams in the country, with guards Tanner Holden and Jaylon Hall, and big man Grant Bastile beefing up an extremely talented rotation. The Raiders are 4th nationally in rebounding and can band with anyone. This team can cause problems come March. "

The Raiders lost 3 games, so it's hard to complain too much, but it is garbage. Theoretically, two teams who didn't play each other could have gone 20-0 during the regular season. Both teams go undefeated, but the league would go to the secret formula and award the regular season championship to one team simply because the league gave that team a tougher league/home/away schedule.

My speculation regarding this important weekend. If WSU and CSU win out and remain tied. Our strength of schedule has improved and theirs has decreased. If Oakland and YSU win out our two, non CSU loses, are to higher rated teams than CSU loses. Another plus for us would be a sweep by UIC this weekend.

Will the two programs be gathered as a group sitting around hitting refresh on their computers Monday morning waiting for the super secret formula to declare a winner so they can go out to the arena gym and cut down some nets? Catch the excitement of Horizon League basketball!!!
What a joke.

Catch the excitement of Horizon League basketball!!! What a joke. Apparently the results will be announced right after the final HL game on this weekend. One way to look at is that it won’t keep people in suspense. The other is that the government and other influential entities release controversial news on Saturday nights because it gets buried in the headlines and the usual distractions of a weekend. I know that’s absolutely not the case here, but this lines up very well for the HL.

I don't disagree with the frustration posted but I think things will work themselves out this weekend. I don't think both CSU & WSU will sweep their series. Hopefully I'm wrong and WSU wins this outright.

In the grand scheme of things none of this really matters. The best team will win the tournament and represent the hl in the dance.

If that's the truth, then we should never leave the Horizon League. If you just want to get into the tournament and get smacked by a top 10 team, there will be ample opportunity to do so here.
If you want to build a program that has the opportunity to win some games in the tournament, then keep fielding teams that win 25+ games. Eventually you'll get into the dance with a chance to win some games and that gets you the opportunity to join a better conference where losing in the conference tournament doesn't necessary mean no NCAAs.
