I tried to get the dates, venue, etc for Naples MTE. Does anyone have a link or actual details for this event? I tried a Google search but couldn't find anything. Also, what is the maximum number of games a team can play prior to their Conference tournament & post-season play?

There's been no official announcement yet. I believe D1Docket just got the participating schools from a Freedom of Information request from one of the state schools. If the team plays in a multi-team event, 31 is the maximum number of games.

Dude, I just posted that 2 hours ago: Here is the scheduling rules from the NCAA manual: 17.4.5.1 Maximum Limitations -- Institutional -- Men's Basketball. In men's basketball, an institution shall limit
its total regular-season playing schedule with outside competition during the playing season to one of the following (except
for those contests excluded under Bylaw 17.4.5.5):
(a) 28 contests (games or scrimmages) and one qualifying regular-season multiple-team event (see Bylaw 17.4.5.2.1) that
does not exceed three contests per team;
(b) 29 contests (games or scrimmages) and one qualifying regular-season multiple-team event (see Bylaw 17.4.5.2.1) that
does not exceed two contests per team; or
(c) 29 contests (games or scrimmages) during a playing season in which the institution does not participate in a qualifying

It's definitely exciting the team will have the opportunity to prove themselves against a quality opponent like Purdue.
One other piece of scheduling info that came out today: Ball State, who was listed for the Naples MTE, is apparently instead competing in the Jersey Mike's Classic in St. Petersburg. Green Bay previously announced they would be competing in this MTE.

Middle Tennessee State is now apparently tied to the Cancun Challenge. I'm wondering if this Naples Invitational was just an incorrect leak or it was canceled before it was officially announced.
