Monday's game will all come down to which Raider's team shows up. If we play timid against their zone and settle for a bunch of 3s, I think we are going to get run out of the gym. If we play aggressive and find a way to work the ball inside and play big boy basketball, I like our chances. The boys got the monkey off their back last night by avoiding that first game upset that has gotten us the last 2 years. CSU is the number 1 seed, and we are the number 4 seed this year. Everyone outside of our locker room and fanbase expects CSU to win. There is no pressure on us. It's all on them. I think we play better as the underdog. I think we play better when we feel disrespected. They beat us twice this year and we didn't play well in either game. They manhandled us both games playing very physical basketball. We should be motivated for some payback.

Who was the guy sitting courtside that was in a defensive stand during that come back? Is that a former player? Someone's family member? If you're on this message board thanks for being great! You're one of the reasons the crowd got into it tonight! That is Tanner’s Dad!!! Came here to ask the same, he was about as exciting to watch as the game! Loved it. What a comeback, hope they can keep it rollin' in Indy, will be harder to make that sort of run on a neutral floor.

Such a satisfying win on the heals of the last 2 tournaments. I was never too concerned in the first half. Despite Oakland looking unstopable the Raiders kept it within striking distance. Once Oakland's lead expanded to 14 in the 2nd half it was starting to feel like 2020 UIC all over again.
Lampman was unable to 'light up' the Raiders for a 3rd straight time after going 8/14 (57%) in the regular season. ONLY 3 TURNOVERS by the Raiders

Hope the team puts together two more wins and we can watch Tanner’s Dad at the Big Dance

Maybe it's time for Welage to be inserted into the starting lineup. He brings an offensive punch that Norris doesn't have, and at 6'6" he brings a defensive and rebounding presence to the lineup as well. He played 27 minutes vs Oakland so he's getting starter minutes now. Let him start.

Nice mid-range shot as well...only other guy who can say that is Calvin. I think Welage has in him what he showed against Oakland.

I don't think it really matters who starts and who comes off the bench. All that matters is how much playing time they are getting. Welage deserves more minutes. Braun should be getting more minutes. I have no idea why Wilbourn is getting so much playing time late in the season when Braun is obviously the better player. Norris needs to be providing more offense to justify the minutes he is getting. Guys are setting him up with good passes where he is open for 3 and he isn't taking the shot. He is a good 3 point shooter. We need him to be confident and pull the trigger or his minutes need to be given to someone willing to do so.

He missed games earlier due to illness and I think it's possible that he still hasn't completely recovered. When he comes off the floor after a shift he looks really gassed. He's young but recovery from the illness can take a while.

I really think this game is going to be won or lost in the first 5 minutes. If we come out and set the tone early by making shots and playing aggressively, I think we go onto win this game. If we start off slow and struggle against CSU's zone and fall behind early, I don't like our chances.

Got to start out and hit them hard, put them down in the first few minutes. Play hard and go inside with strength and not be timid. Being timid is a good way for us to get an L.

I give credit to Nagy and this team really turning this into a good season after having a rough start. I know it's been a challenging year with Coach Nagy losing his Father late last year and the team struggling quite a bit at times. If they lose tomorrow night it's still been another good year, but while I think CSU is the better overall team, I would not be surprised if the Raiders win this game at all.
