Are we no longer going after Loveday and or Hughes? Loveday committed to Samford. Hughes is rumored to be going to ETSU. Good call.

For the love of god, why in the hell can’t we sign a serviceable PF to finish out this class? IUPUI is even landing decent transfers from the portal. Our coaches need to stop "kicking the tires" with portal guys like Big D likes to call it and start going hard core after 2-3 guys they think can help us next year. We don't need an instant impact starter. We just need a serviceable post player that can give us 10-15 minutes a game and rebound and play decent defense. Anything above and beyond that is a bonus. It should not be that hard to find someone like this. Everyone else in the HL has been able to do this. This team has a chance to be special but we need more interior depth. Time for this staff to step up it's game. Agree with this. However last time we tried this we got CJ Wilbourne, who couldn't carve out many minutes (granted, he was hurt part of that time). Given Nagy's track record of not playing a deep rotation or players he doesn't trust, the transfers may be reluctant to come here knowing they would be the third big behind BNoel and AJ, and they may not get those 10-15 minutes a game.

We aren’t really looking for a true post player. We are looking at 6-6 to 6-8 forwards in the portal and JUCO ranks. We aren’t trying to bring in someone to be the 3rd guy playing center for us. AJ and Brandon can handle those minutes. We are looking for someone who can play the 4 in our system which can even be a big guard or SF as long as they can rebound. We only have 3 guaranteed starters next year: Calvin, Holden, and Noel (and Noel could start at the 4 or 5). The other starting spots are still really up for grabs so we should be able to sell that potential to a portal kid. Worst case scenario, they have a chance to earn major minutes as a backup. Best case scenario, they earn a starting spot.

Both second in the conference. Spreads the floor and crashes the boards.

So are we assuming Bo is walking on or are we expecting someone to grad transfer out if we're still recruiting a big?

I am really excited about his outside shooting. With the big guys inside and how well our stars can create shots there will be open looks for the shooters.
My biggest concern is how his defense will transfer to the Division 1 level. If he could be a 3 and D guy for 15 minutes a game that would be awesome.
Even if his defense isn't amazing it needs to not be bad or else Nagy won't play him at all.

We will see. This does not make much sense to me, it is a big transition from D2 to D1. You should really do a little bit of research into last year's transfers and guys that transferred this year in the portal so far. D2 guys make the jump to D1 all the time and have been successful. There are dozens of guys that even went from D2 to P5 conference schools last year and had success. In regards to Bo, I don't know what kind of an impact he will have. We honestly don't need him to be a major impact player. If he end up being an impact player for us that will be great, but if we are only able to get 10 minutes from him off the bench where he can add some rebounding and be a good outside shooter that can help spread some defenses out, I will take it.

Here is a link of D2 transfers from Verbal commits: verbalcommits.com/transfers/2023/D2There are a lot of D2 transfers headed to other HL schools and teams we are playing in our OOC schedule next year. There are D2 guys transferring to Washington State, Auburn, Georgia, and Memphis.
