Curious how much PT Braun gets considering there are only two official "Big men" on the roster.
This team will be fun to watch especially if the shooters can hit their open threes. There should be plenty of open looks.

Wild how they just make up the rules as they go. But I would agree, that's not a good sign. Be interesting to see if the fact he's transferring back to his original school helps though. Also be interesting to see what happens if denied the waiver. Do we tie up the scholarship for 2 seasons just to get one more year from Tanner? Does he even want to wait another year before trying to make money playing professionally? |

I trust our staff and Bob Grant. I think they did their homework and spoke with the NCAA and OSU’s athletic department before they decided to bring Tanner back to make sure we had a realistic chance for him to be eligible this year. I don’t think all those articles about Tanner leaving OSU stating his only option to be immediately eligible was to play at Wright State was pulled out of someone’s rear end. Someone did their homework with the NCAA to come up with that statement. I think OSU already spoke to the NCAA to see what Tanner’s options were. I think they wanted to help Tanner move on so they could free up his scholarship. I doubt he would have left if they did not give him some decent assurances that this was realistic.

Either Carson or Bo is paying their own way this year. I believe it is Carson but I haven’t confirmed that through anyone at Wright State yet.
Wright State fully expects Tanner to be eligible this year. If you have been paying attention to their recent press releases on the Florida tournament and the promotion tweets they just started releasing weekly about next season, Tanner is front and center in them all along with Trey. I don’t thinks they would be promoting him the way that they are now if they weren’t confident.

With NIL, could player be part of the team and have their NIL pay the tuition? I don’t know if there are NCAA rules pertaining to your question yet. I can almost guarantee neither of those 2 guys are going to make enough NIL money this year to cover their tuition/room and board if it’s allowed. |
