Someone on VCU's message board broke down the BB pairings based on RPI. Right now we are matched up with Morgan St. The good news is that if we keep improving our RPI we could get a match up with Akron or Ohio U. I really would love to play Ohio U. www.caazone.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=89035

I would say we still have a better shot at playing Ohio U than Morgan State, but like we saw with Cal-State Fullerton two years ago, they don't really factor in travel distance. They do factor in travel distance for the 100 plus teams that don't get onto one of the Bracket Buster TV games. They don't worry about travel as much for the teams that get the TV games because they think the travel is worth it to them to get on TV and to get the better match ups.

This has UWGB playing UWM. Would they really put two teams from the same conference in a bracket buster game?

This has UWGB playing UWM. Would they really put two teams from the same conference in a bracket buster game? The table is ranking the home teams vs away teams based on RPI. Bracket Busters doesn't pair up teams from the same conference or teams that have already played each other earlier in that season.

Our RPI is 129 now. If we keep winning we have a good shot at one of the TV match ups.

We have one more week to improve our RPI standings before the bracketbuster selections are made. Hopefully we will get a televised game and not ESPN360.

The most recent update above has us ranked at the 11th best home team. That would get us into one of the 13 TV games on ESPN. I like the match up with Northern Iowa too. They are 12-6 overall and currently in first place in the MVC with a 7-1 record.

Their coach played his college ball at UD. It might help bring a few more fans to the game. I just hope we don't get stuck with Buffalo. I don't want to have to make that return trip next year.
