Yea an espn360 game would suck. I dont know if I really want to play Boise St. That means we have to take a trip there next year which might hurt our other out of confrence games since we have to use a chunk of money to go out there. I doubt we get Boise St. I think UWM will get them.

Well we are currently matched up head to head with Green Bay so we obviously won't be playing them. I have a feeling we will draw Buffalo in our bracket buster game. I'd prefer Northern Iowa or even Boise State. I suspect Green Bay will play Northern Iowa. Green Bay can't get paired with N. Iowa. They are both away teams. Hey Sixth Man, thanks for the correction. I don't know what I was thinking. George Mason would be great but I just don't see us getting bumped ahead of other home team "teams" in order to play George Mason. I would take Northern Iowa and even Bradley over Buffalo or Boise State though. Since we are in the tenth spot I suspect we'll get the espn360 game. I hope I'm wrong.

Since we are in the tenth spot I suspect we'll get the espn360 game. I hope I'm wrong. Why would you think that? There are 13 ESPN games (11 on TV, 2 on ESPN 360). Being the 10th ranked team should get us on TV.

WSU on ESPN vs. Northeastern in BracketBustersBy Marc Katz Monday, February 2, 2009 FAIRBORN — Wright State’s basketball team learned it will play Northeastern in ESPN’s BracketBusters game on Feb. 21 at the Nutter Center, and the game will be televised on one of the network’s platforms. Which platform — and the time of the game — has not been announced, but WSU coach Brad Brownell knows one thing. “It’s a game against a really good opponent,” said Brownell tonight moments before his radio show on WONE. Wright State is 13-9 and is 13-3 over its last 16 games. Northeastern, playing in the Colonial Athletic Conference (where Brownell once coached at North Carolina-Wilmington) is 15-6 and 10-1 in the CAA. In addition to WSU, the Horizon League will be represented on television by Wisconsin-Green Bay, which plays at Long Beach State, and by Butler, which has the premier game of the event, at Davidson. Miami also was granted a televised game and will play at Evansville. Butler was 19-1 entering tonight’s game at Green Bay, and Davidson is 18-3. In all, 13 games will be televised on either ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN360.com. Last year, WSU’s game at Illinois State was televised on ESPNU. Not only will WSU host the Huskies this year, but must schedule a return game at Northeastern next season. “The good news is our (assistant coach Mike Winiecki) is from up that way and will be able to take us to some good restaurants,” Brownell said. “The bad news is, Northeastern will be good again.” Matt Janning, a 6-foot-4 guard, is a junior and leads the team with a 15.6 scoring average. In fact, the Huskies’ top four scorers are underclassmen. Wright State is 2-0 vs. Northeastern, beating the Huskies in Boston 59-53 during the 2004-05 season, and 72-65 at home the following season. Brownell said he likes the idea ESPN is promoting some teams that don’t come from the larger conferences, but also noted, “Most coaches don’t like the timing of it. It’s so late in the season. But we got to be on ESPN last year. That part of it was great.” The BracketBusters gives teams a chance to show what they have and maybe influence NCAA selection people toward at-large bids. www.daytondailynews.com/o/content/shared-gen/blogs/dayton/wrightstatesports/

Raiders to Host Northeastern in BracketBusters Feb. 2, 2009 The Wright State University men's basketball team will host the Northeastern University Huskies as part of the ESPNU BracketBusters on Saturday, February 21 at the Nutter Center. The game will be shown live on an ESPN format. The ESPN format and game time will be announced next Monday, February 9. This is the third straight year WSU has received an ESPN game as the Raiders hosted Cal State Fullerton on ESPN360 in 2007 and were at Illinois State last season on ESPNU. Wright State is currently 13-9 overall and 7-4 in the Horizon League while Northeastern holds a 15-6 overall record and are in first place in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 10-1 mark. The Huskies are led by third-year head coach Bill Coen and have wins this season over such teams as Providence, Indiana, George Mason and VCU. As part of the BracketBusters agreement, Wright State will make a return trip to Boston to face Northeastern next season. The Raiders will host Valparaiso Thursday and Horizon League leader and nationally-ranked Butler Saturday night. Both games start at 7 pm. wsuraiders.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/020209aaa.html
