That was about as good as we could have expected. We got on 1 of the better ESPN channels. The only downside is the 11 AM tip off time. Half our students will still be sleeping off the partying from friday night.

The early tip off is hard on some of us middle agers too. I have kids that play basketball in the AM on saturdays.

Half our students will still be sleeping off the partying from friday night. We need a good turnout. This game is a huge recruiting tool for our coaching staff. Last year Cory Cooperwood committed to WSU without setting a foot on campus. He saw us play on one of the ESPNs vs Illinois St, Valpo, and Butler at the end of last season. The fact that we were on national TV 3 games in a row was a huge selling point to him. I want all future recruits we are telling to watch this game see us play in from of a huge Nutter Center crowd. We just received a committment from Xavier Fugate to walk on at WSU over football offers from several MAC schools. I believe he was at the Butler game Saturday. You have to think that our crowd of 9,700 fans helped him make that decision.

The early tip off is hard on some of us middle agers too. I have kids that play basketball in the AM on saturdays. I have to coach some of those little kids saturday morning. I think I am going to have my assistant coach, coach the game so I can come watch WSU lol.

George Mason beats Northeastern 64-53FAIRFAX, Va. (AP)—John Vaughan scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half and George Mason remained unbeaten at home this season, winning 64-53 over Northeastern on Saturday. The Patriots (17-8, 10-5 Colonial Athletic Association) used a 9-0 run early in the second half to take a 39-29 lead after being held to just 17 points in the first half. George Mason, which has lost its past five road games, improved to 12-0 at Patriot Center this season and with the win moved to within a game of Northeastern for second place in the conference. Cam Long added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Patriots. The Huskies (16-9, 11-4), who were held to 34 percent shooting from the field, were led Matt Janning’s 13 points. rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recap?gid=200902140228

16-9 vs. 16-10...I don't see that much of a difference now. I wouldn't be surprised if our RPIs are within 12 by the time we play each other. Maybe the Bracketbuster committee actually knew what they were doing.
I am happy that our game is the first one of the day. Therefore, no interruptions from a previous game ending late (like when we Wake).

They were discussing the BB on Sports center. Some announcer called us "white state." Oh well maybe when we beat Northeastern they get it right.
