According to the article below, we will be playing in the CBE Classic at South Alabama Nov 22-24. The other two participating teams are Southern Miss and Houston Baptist. I hope finalizing this tourament was the last piece of the puzzle and we'll see the full schedule released very soon. What's the reason we didn't host the sub-regional?? This was probably part of the deal we struck with the organizers of the CBI tournament last season. To get out of paying the entire hosting fee for each of the home games we had, we probably agreed to be a road only team for this tournament.

Well I started this thread last year, so I might as well start it this year. Here is what we know about Wright State's 2013/14 Basketball Schedule: 11/1 Findlay (exhibition) 11/13 @ Georgetown 11/16 @ DePaul (CBE classic) 11/22-24 @ South Alabama/Southern Miss/Houston Baptist (CBE classic) 12/2 @ Morehead State 12/7 @ VMI 12/15 @ Miami 12/21 UMKC 12/29 Bowling Green 1/2 Oakland 1/4 @ Detroit 1/10 @ Valpo 1/12 UIC 1/17 UWGB 1/25 @ YSU 2/1 @ UWGB 2/6 YSU 2/8 CSU 2/16 @ Oakland 2/21 Detroit 2/25 Valpo 3/1 @ UIC TBA: Eastern Illinois @ North Carolina A&T Milwaukee @ Milwaukee @ CSU Looks like the schedule is basically done. Besides the games listed as TBA above, I believe Klinger said we also have a home game vs. a Non-D1 team. Is that it or do we have one other game to announce?

Is that it or do we have one other game to announce? I think we have one more to announce, but I'm not sure. I always get confused by how these tournaments count towards the total number of games that can be played in a regular season.

Not much surprise here. Not really a great home schedule

So much for anticipating the schedule release. Manchester and Mt. Saint Joseph, really? Embarrassing is all I can say. The only decent home non-conference game is Bowling Green. I don't know how the Coach and AD can expect to grow the fan base with these types of schedules.

Hmm. Not very good. Please tell me we didn't sign a home-and-home series with Alcorn State like we did with North Carolina A&T!

Oh boy.
The previous year's RPI isn't always an accurate indicator of the next season. We jumped from 226 to 130 last year. Valpo and Detroit lost almost all of their major contributors, so they'll probably be way down. Changes happen, we don't know what teams have gained or lost by looking at the team names on a schedule.
Having said that, this schedule really blows. Hard.
We're playing 15 D-1 teams in our non-conference schedule this year. Here's how last year's RPI numbers break down: - Teams with a higher RPI than us last year: ONE (Georgetown at 11) - Teams in the top 200:THREE (G'town, S.Alabama, Morehead - Teams outside the top 300: THREE (VMI, Alcorn, Houston Baptist)
On the plus side, if we pull out a miracle at Georgetown, we could very well run the table.
