I seen Justin Mitchell. Justin should be in the starting rotation next year.

Anyone else take careful note of the players shown in the Nagy Day-1 video, in the team meeting room? What is your point? Just because the players (shown in the video) sat down and listened to what Coach Nagy had to say doesn't mean that they have decided to stay. It doesn't mean that Coach Nagy wants them all to return either. Roderick Davis was in that video and it has been reported that he is leaving. I don't know if he decided to transfer or if Coach Nagy steered him that way. I doubt Davis is the last player that leaves before all is said and done. Some of the guys on our roster just don't fit his style of play.

I was simply adding to the dialogue and wondering if anyone gleaned anything from the video. Why is everything so confrontational on this board anymore. Geez.

I'm cool if Rod Davis leaves. I just hope our good players (like Benzinger, Hughes, etc) all stay. That's the key.

Check out Benzinger's Instagram (benzifbaby). There's a post that has him in a WSU jersey and simply says "Whole new era."
I'll take that as a good sign, although I suppose you could read different things into it, considering he is walking away from the photographer in the photo.

I try to be optimistic, but I'd take that as the walking away option. Really hope I'm wrong.

I know it is hard to lose talented players but I am sure coach Nagy would find some suitable replacements. I guess he would recruit better than he did at SDSU.

Great news about Grant. Now if Nagy can convince S. Davis to stay too, we have the makings of a decent team next year.

Great news about Grant. Now if Nagy can convince S. Davis to stay too, we have the makings of a decent team next year. S Davis isn't mentioned on Jeff Goodman's transfer list on ESPN. What hasn't been mentioned before though is that Daniel Mortensen is listed as transferring out of WSU. Hope he is a Grant Benzinger situation again. Guess we will have to wait and see. espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/14390188/college-basketball-transfer-list

Honestly there is only a few guys on this roster I would hate to lose. There are several nice role players I think can help us win and we have a few guys that aren't good enough for this level of competition. If players decide they want to leave for whatever reason I wish them well. At the end of the day, I want guys that want to be here and that can help us win games. Players leaving just opens up scholarships for Nagy to bring in "his" recruits that fit his system.
I don't have high expectations for next year. I know Nagy talked about us being successful soon in a radio interview he did a few days ago. I saw next year as another huge rebuilding year when Donlon was still our coach because we have so many holes in our roster going into next season. I don't think Nagy could have taken that roster and been successful next year either. Losing some players isn't a bad thing in my mind. It gives Coach Nagy a chance to try to fix some of those holes in our roster.
Dan is a kid that I thought could have been a nice role player for us. He can be a solid scorer, but his defense left a lot to be desired. I think that could have improved and I think he would have fit into Nagy's system well. If he really is leaving and both Davis's are leaving too, Nagy has some serious work to do recruiting for next season. That leaves us with Parker and the incoming freshman from Cincinnati as our only bigs. Let's all hope that we can add a few JUCO bigs that can contribute right away.

I hope Nagy doesn't have to play him out of position like the Billyball system, but Mortensen could play combo in a pinch. I hope we keep him stateside in Green and Gold.
