With Big Lou commiting to WSU today where does that leave us scholarship wise? We have 1-2 scholarships remaining depending on if Steven Davis is coming back or not. Seniors:Steven Davis Brandon Neel Mike LaTulip Juniors:Mark Alstork Grant Benzinger Justin Mitchell Sophomores:Parker Ernsthausen Alan Vest Mark Hughes Freshmen:Loudon Vollbrecht Ryan Custer Everett Winchester

He is not listed on any of the recruiting websites as a 5th year transfer and I haven't seen any reports that Wright State is recruiting any forwards to replace him with. What it interesting is that it looks like we are still going after JUCO PG Julian Walters and not another inside player. Coach Nagy must be content with playing small next year. Ernsthausen, Vollbrecht, Davis, and Custer are our only interior players.

Welcome to the team Mike and Lou This ^^^^ Especially jacked about Lou. He could end up being a force in the HL with his size and toughness. If he puts in the work, look out.

How will people remember the Brandon Neel era? They won't. He never played a game for Wright State. Opti I guess you didn't watch much of our OOC games then. He played in 5 of them averaging almost 12 minutes a game before he was injured.

Brandon Neel is transferring per his Twitter account. First off, good luck to Brandon wherever he ends up. I think he saw the writing on the wall in regards to his potential playing time next year and decided to drop down to a lower level. He should qualify for a medical red-shirt for this past season so he will still have 2 years of eligibility if he goes down a level. For Wright State, this helps Nagy put together a roster of his type of players quicker and no offense to Brandon, but he isn't his type of guard. Nagy really likes guards that shoot really well from 3 and have to ability to create too. With 2 open scholarships now hopefully we can still land the PG coach wants and find a big that can contribute. We don't need a future all american post player. If we can find a guy that can give us minutes, play good defense, and help us on the boards we should try to add someone.

We lost out on the JUCO PG to Milwaukee. We don't have any other offers out for this class I am aware of. We might go into next year with 2 open scholarships. I would be a lot more excited about next season if we added another pg and PF to the roster. With our history of injuries I don't like our current depth. It could be an ugly rebuilding year if anyone gets hurt and we don't add some depth.

I think we all probably saw this coming. Didn't ever really make an impact with the team, and always seemed to be one thing or another hampering him. Good luck to him in his future collegiate career. Would really be nice for us to come up with another front court option that has seen the court in a JUCO program.

Sounds about right. Billy usually recruited as if he was coaching a D-II squad. (I know there were some exceptions.)
