Damn. Some things are far more important than basketball. I love WSU as well but I'm glad you decided to put your health above your fandom even though we'll miss reading your perspective as often around here. Keep fighting and prayers up towards recovery and more better days.

First half flew by with the lack of whistles. I think there was 5 minutes to go in the half before the first Raider picked up a foul. I think that helped keep the crowd engaged - along with the hot start.
Team certainly looked good last night - hope we can build some momentum from here.

This has been the same thing everyone has said for years. I guess you can say they need to try harder, but I’m sure every minute any one of them are on the court they would prefer to do the right thing every time. Maybe it’s time to start questioning the system instead. If all you do is preach defense, but constantly have a bad defense, try something else. You have to question the system, the coaching, or the recruiting. It's certainly one of them. Nagy says he recruits scorers and teaches them to be good defenders. Well, if your upperclassman still haven't learned to play defense then either your coaching is ineffective or you recruited players that don't have the skillset needed to be good defenders in your system. Either way that's a coaching failure.

They won't but really hoping the reconsider this rule change - either for this year or after the season. Just read how Ohio State would have made the NIT last year with a 16-19 overall record and 5-15 Big Ten record just because they ranked 49th in the NET, which made it the second-highest ranked Big Ten team of the teams that didn’t make the NCAA tournament. What a pointless tournament when that kind of record gets you in and hosting a game!

That's the spirit of what I was hoping to learn about, but since that article is about 18 months old I'm not sure how relevant it will be to Tanner's case under the new transfer rules cracking down on multiple transfers.

Speculating here as well, but you have to assume transferring back to a familiar/previous school also helps Tanner's case. He's not just searching for a new/better opportunity. He's returning someplace he has roots and and can prove/show it was good for him to be here.
I'd love to see a list of transfers that returned to their former school (if there are any) and whether or not those waivers got approved this year.

So that puts us one over the scholarship limit unless someone is walking on...

Holden and Calvin's second trip to that tournament if you're looking for any small thing that may give us an edge.
