Would be interesting timing to go all-in on NIL with your AD on his way out the door. Not sure who would really be helping to orchestrate that charge? But yes, that would certainly be a good thing for us athletically.

Now that transfers are eligible immediately the fact that we don't work the JUCO circuit is less egregious to me now. But agree with all that we should really be more active with looking to plug holes with impact transfers.
I get there is a culture element to building your roster so you'd like to recruit players you have a feel for already that would fit with your style. That's not nothing. But it shouldn't be the only thing either.

You really don’t know what you are talking about. Baseball would have been cut years ago if it wasn’t for Bob Grant’s intervention. It costs a fortune and doesn’t bring in anywhere near the revenue to justify it compared to other sports. He has championed the program to keep it going. He has also made hire after hire that kept the program going for the last 20 years. He hasn’t built the indoor practice facility you want them to have but otherwise he has done right by that program. I know I have no clue 🤦🏻♂️ I’m so clueless 😂 You can have inside info about the baseball program and still make clueless statements. Those things aren't mutually exclusive. Back on topic... Nice article in the DDN today with some quotes from Bob about his reasons and Coach Nagy on his future here Wright State athletic director Grant stepping down after 16-year run www.daytondailynews.com/sports/wright-state-athletic-director-grant-stepping-down-after-16-year-run/PLIKV2I4YFEKHJKQ5LHH73D3BY/

+1 Figured he'd be around for quite a while when he got the main gig here.

Would make for a nice assistant coach here if we're looking for one. We still have a good relationship with the Illinois Wolves AAU program, yes?

Yeah you can't go into an off-season with just one year remaining on her contract. We either needed to extend her or plan on making a change. Of those two options it seems like a no-brainer to offer the extension.

I would assume he's saving the year of eligibility to portal somewhere else to play next year. That's what I suspect Nagy was shielding in his comments. I don't have the dates in front of me but thinking the portal window this year may have closed by the time Trey gave his final commitment to stay at WSU and Keaton didn't want to waste a year of eligibility barely getting minutes.
