It depends on who the TBA team is. It could be a decent Riviera Division. And, let's not cast stones in a glass house.
They (Triple Crown who run the Cancun Challenge) are trying to bringing in big-time programs. They already have West Virginia and Wichita State lineup for next year. Penn State won the NIT this year.

With the budget woes I could see a couple buy in games to get some cash coming in.

Indiana State? Illinois State? Iowa State? Idaho State? Opti This is from a person that covers Indiana State. I've heard about a series with an Idaho based program and I've ruled out Boise State so Idaho State may be possible. Heck, the odds are 50% I haven't heard anything about Illinois State.... Those would all be good programs to have on the schedule...Assuming all are a home-and-home series, sans the P-5 program....Would love to have a home-and-home or 2-1 with the Tornado's, but a buy game there is good... Now, if we schedule more "I" schools like, Incarnate Wood, Iona, Illinois, Indiana, Illinois Wesleyan, Iowa, IPFW, and Indiana Wesleyan then the person scheduling has a compulsive disorder the university should look into...

It's a buy game. Will be tough....they're loaded up with talent. It's a Sat. game...should be on one of the ESPN channels or SEC Network. Also of note, the game is in Jackson, MS. Not Starkville, MS (Home of Miss. State). Listening to Ben Howland's press conference he should be on the Dayton area's chamber of commerce payroll. Good things to say about WSU---expects WSU to win the HL---tough match-up with Love.....

Students will be on break I'd assume though it also may not matter as much since the game isn't on campus.

The date of this game is very similar to last year's game vs Georgia Tech. Nagy said on a radio show that he likes to play a P5 team on the road at Christmas time, because the home team guys are chomping at the bit to get home for their Christmas break, and the students are usually gone already. It worked vs Georgia Tech, hope it works for this game as well.

Any team is beatable on any given night. PSU lost on their home court to Rider last year.

Penn State's best player declared for the NBA draft and their coach historically underachieves compared to the recruits he brings in. Their fan base does not like him as an in-game coach. We can beat them.

The Raiders are going to have to win, win and win. I don't know what the RPI would be if we win 21-23 games in the regular season. I wouldn't think it would be below 60.
