Sad to see the boys crash and burn in the biggest game of the season. I'm still proud of their efforts regardless and it has been a fun ride!

I like our 2 freshman quite a bit but my God neither of them can shoot a lick from the outside. We need shooters shooters and more shooters. It looks like a good freshman class coming in but we really need a grad transfer that can shoot from downtown!

He has the potential to be a much better shooter than we saw this year.

Huge disappointment. Having said that I'm extremely proud of how this team was able to accomplish what they did. On paper based on the talent this team had on the floor each night in the HL they probably should have finished in the middle of the pack. Its tough to win games when offensively they were playing 3 against 5. It showed up tonight. I look forward to next season when I believe that offensively our Raiders will have 5 guys on the floor at all times that are a threat to score. Now I just hope they can make some noise in the NIT.

I am good with going to the NIT I know the NCAA is the goal but lets be honest we would have been blown out again by a 2 seed At least we can be competitive with a NIT matchup as long as we don't play like we did tonight

Congrats to NKU...they were the better team overall for the season and were hungry. Wright State finishing tied for first was a great feat as this team really stunk shooting so many games, unfortunately tonight one of them.
I think Nku could knock someone off in the tournament.
NIT doesn't excite me either, but it would be fun to win a game.

I didn't see the game, but while Wright State shooting was rough again, I think this was a case of Nku playing really well overall.

Obviously disappointed with the result tonight. NKU played great all night and Wright State was just average. The NIT isn't nearly as exciting as March Madness, but this team has never been and depending on the opponent they could make a run.
As eluded to earlier, glad to see McDonald gone at NKU. The future looks bright for Wright State. Love getting another year will only make him better.
Let's make some noise in the NIT. And cheer for the ladies in the Big Dance.

Getting blown out is better than losing by 10 to some garbage high major team that no one will watch

So half the country will be disappointed and we get blown out in front of NBA scouts How does that help Wright State

A big mea culpa here from kfx. a while back I posited that we may be better off as a program if we got to the nit with a chance to win a couple of games instead of going to the ncaa and gettin a 30 pt butt whipping. looking back st that I realize I failed to consider a very important consideration. we now have team in the league three years winning their second invite to the dance. their other year I think they won regular season tile. in other words in three years they have established themselves as the best team in the hl. that is really annoying. seems like valpo did the something similar.
I guess we can hope that since they are graduating their best player things will change, maybe the coach will move on or maybe who know maybe their whole program moves on. I just do not have a good feeling about where this is heading and I am pissed that we still cannot be the dominant program in this crappy league.

I thought it would be good for Wright State to leave the horizon, but anymore I say stay in the league. I think it would be smart for Northern Kentucky as well. You can play for the league title probably about every year....hasn't gone too well for the crusaders since leaving

So half the country will be disappointed and we get blown out in front of NBA scouts How does that help Wright State Lol tell me how losing to or playing a decent game against Texas for example on ESPN+ which has 100 people watching that aren’t fans of WSU or Texas is better than getting blown out by Duke or Kentucky or whoever with millions of people cheering for us. Like what. Have you ever heard of Iona? I don’t think they have won a March Madness game in recent history if ever. In fact, they are continually getting destroyed by huge teams (Duke last year actually) but guess what, they go almost every single year. And they are a household name to people who follow college basketball really closely by getting blown out in the first round. But yeah NIT is better

It sucks we lost the way we did, but we still get to play some more basketball and have more practices with the players. There are eight HL teams that are done and we are not. I know they want to show they are better than the outcome from tonight. Even though he had a tough night, we have to keep feeding the ball to Big Lou to help our outside game. We have to work on better screening and cutting to the hole for easy buckets. Cannot live by the three!!! Let’s not get down that we did not make it to NCAA tourney. Bounce back and use the opportunity to get better even though we are at the end. Got to get better for next year as we will have another great team!!! Raider Up!!!
