That would be a homerun hire for them. Winthrop has been great. I don't understand why a coach would make this move unless the pay was that much more. The Horizon was the #22 ranked conference last year while the Big South was #23. Not the kind of step up unless the pay increase is there or the coach just wants to make a move. He's from Cincinnati. The move brings him home.

He tried to get both the open UC and X jobs the last few years without success. NKU is a lateral move but it does get him closer to home.

Think I saw he was only making $227k at Winthrop. He'd sprint to the NKU job if offered.

They'd have to offer him close to 700.000 to a million to get him. Hell He's making more at Louisville as an assistant than most midmajor head head couches.

I'm surprised Northern Kentucky was not paying Brannen too much compared to other programs at the same level. Well at least compared to Nagy salary

Mississippi Valley State University has named Lindsey Hunter as Head Coach. Hunter, who most recently served as an assistant coach on the University of Buffalo coaching staff during the 2016-17 season, will be formally introduced on May 1, 2019. Hunter played 17 seasons in the NBA.
