The bracket is set now that play has completed this evening. Green Bay clinched the 3 seed and will await the lowest-seeded winner to come out of Tuesday's games. (IUPUI @ UIC), (MKE @ YSU), (CSU @ OAK). The other two winners will play Thursday along with the Green Bay game, and then WSU will play the lowest-remaining seed left in the tournament. The brackets are not "sided". We play Monday at 7 on ESPNU, followed by NKU playing the higher remaining team at 930 on ESPN2. Crappy we don't get the better game channel, but we get a few hours of extra rest, whatever that's worth. horizonleague.org/documents/2020/2/25//2020_Men_s_Basketball_Bracket_9_Team.pdf?id=4823I like UIC over IUPUI. The Flames took the regular season sweep, but only by a combined 14 points. YSU gets a bit of a revenge game in hosting Milwaukee. Milwaukee beat the Penguins at Beeghly in OT the game after we got our butts whipped up there. I like the Penguins at home because they just beat Milwaukee at Panther Arena tonight. I think Oakland and Cleveland State is probably the most interesting matchup on the night, just because of how inconsistent Oakland has played this season. I think they're poised for a run, as Kampe has found the groove with the Williams kid, but then again, they did just lose to IUPUI. I think I'll take the Griz on the blacktop, but who knows. There's no way we see Green Bay or NKU until the championship game, so I like that way that plays out. I also like the spot Green Bay is in. They are going to have a home game and are guaranteed not to play Youngstown or UIC, arguably the only two teams who can match their shooting. I think you can sharpie them into the semifinal game against NKU. I think we really want YSU bounced out early, not sure anyone else really scares me, but if Oakland played a perfect game, they could certainly take us out.

I know it’s difficult to beat a team three times in one season, but I think I’d rather face NKU again rather than square off against GB. I think our personnel stack up against NKU better than GB. We just need to take care of business for two more games and get to the dance!

I honestly don't think it matters who we play in either game. If we play a complete game on both ends of the court, we can beat anyone in this league. If we get one dimensional on offense and start to chuck up 3s and/or don't hit the boards the way we know we need to, we can lose to anyone in this league. I hope we bring our "A" game next week. We all know how good this team can be when we see them at their best.

big d, I agree totally. nobody in the hl matches up with us talent wise. however, we lost to three of those teams, and despite the belief of some raider fans, none of them were “good teams”. the average ken Pom of our three losses is 228. like everyone, I hope we bring our a game. honestly, anything short of the dance will be a disappointment.
as an aside, back in the day I spent some time poking fun at prairie view when they came to the Nutter. not anymore. today, they would be the third highest ranked team in the horizon league.

That is beyond frightening for how bad the conference is this year. Thanks for pointing that out as a point of reference. Ugh.

KFX, you are still missing the point. None of us really believe that any of the bottom 8 teams in the HL are that good. We were just defending our team after an off night on the road. We, the ones you continue to attack, were just tired of all the negativity against our team by all the Debbie Downers out there pissing on our team and questioning their desire. No, you are missing the point drop. You can be a passionate fan and still make an intelligent argument to defend your team after a bad loss, and everyone of our losses this year were considered bad losses. Arguing that we lost to good teams is a weak argument and makes our fan base look ignorant. Here are legit arguments: we are the frontrunner in the conference and we get everyone's best shot. Our guys were feeling the pressure of needing to basically go undefeated in order to get a high NCAA seed and played tight in some games. We had an off shooting night. We aren't a good FT shooting team. We didn't make good in game adjustments. etc etc etc. We are getting to the point as a program were we have always wanted us to be. We are the top of the HL. Expectations are higher and they are going to continue to get higher. You didn't like what you read after our losses this year. You might not want to read game threads in the future after we lose games because expectations are only going up and the disappointment after a loss is only going to go up. I don't know if you ever go to other message boards or not but if you ever went to Butler's board or Valpo's board when they were the frontrunners in the HL you will see that our fan base is very tame compared to their fans after a loss.

All of the home teams are favored tonight, as expected:
CSU at OU (Oakland -7.0) Milwaukee at YSU (Youngstown -6.0) IUPUI at UIC (UIC -8.5)

You spent some time polking fun at PVAM? It was pretty much a full-time hobby, ripping on "the Prairie." Well, there is always Bethune Cookman!

Milwaukee at YSU is the only competitive game, currently at 48-46 in the 2nd half.
Oakland up 20 in the 2nd and UIC out to a 37-9 start.
