I dont believe NKY is the team to beat I think WSU is. So they go to the NCAA and get beat in the first game. Have they ever won a game in the tournament? We are 5 and 2 against them over the last 3 years and we have won the regular season the last two years

The thing I hate the most is that NKU is going to the tournament. That is some sweet, sweet revenge for them. I would’ve rather seen literally any other HL team get in.

After attending both of our regular season games against NKU, as well as both of their tournament games, I can confidently say that we are still the class of the league. They may be dancin', but we're still the team to beat.

As disappointed as we all are, at the end of the day, it's just entertainment for most of us. Sure, there is an element of school and community pride, some of us may personally know the players, some may have invested money in the program, etc. But the young men on the team have poured their blood, sweat and tears into this season, with the goal of winning the HL Tournament and making it to March Madness. For some of them, this was their last chance. While I am glad that they will have a chance at redemption in the NIT, and I believe that they should take pride in what they have accomplished during their time here, my heart goes out to Cole Gentry, Billy Wampler, and Jordan Ash.
