So to sum it all up. Athletics isn't going anywhere. We aren't dropping out of D1. And the WSU faculty union can eat a bag of dicks if they want to bitch and moan about it!

AJ had a great game against IPFW. He shows a lot of talent and promise. Yes, he is a freshman, but his defense is awful. Manns might as well be in at least he can hit a 3 and won't do those stupid rainbow shots jumping from the free throw line. It obviously makes more sense to play the freshman who is going to be our starting center for the next 4 years that needs the experience vs the 5th year senior who is out the door at the end of the season.

This loss has to be on Nagy and Holden. Basketball is a team sport. Guys have off nights and the team needs to overcome that. Our defense cost us this game and that is on our coaches. They didn't make a damn adjustment all game.

Dennis Gates is a damn good coach. It's too bad CSU will probably lose him in the next year or 2.

And like that the lead is back up to 11. Our defense sucks And Nagy is too stubborn to make any changes.

I don't know why our inability to rebound is surprising anyone. Our starting center has taken 1/3 of his shots from 3 point range. When he is out there shooting 3s (and not making them) we have 2 SG and 2 PGs on the court with him trying to rebound. We need to get back to what worked for us in the past. We need to be playing 2 bigs and tell Grant to get his ass under the basket. He has taken 23 three's this year and has only made 3. He took 40 total last season. I want to see him and Braun start. If one comes off the court I want to see Wilbourn or Noel on the court subbing for them. I don't know why Noel hasn't been playing. If he is healthy we need to get him on the court and start gaining some experience. I want us to play 2 big guards at all times. Holden and Finke start. Voss and Welage sub in for them. We only play 1 PG at a time. Calvin and Norris can battle it out for playing time. I have nothing against our walk ons but I don't want to see Neff on the court except in mop up minutes. Any playing time he is getting is taking away from time on the court we should be giving Braun and Noel and they need all the experience they can get. I don't want to see Alex Huibregtse on the court until he shows that he can be more than a 1 dimensional player. All he tries to do is shoot 3s and he has been a horrible 3 point shooter since he has been here. I know he was a good 3 point shooter in high school but that hasn't translated into him being a good shooter in college. The same can be said for Calvin. He needs to focus on creating shots for his teammates and creating high percentage shots for himself. Chucking up 3s when you are shooting 22% is not helping this team win. And finally, I don't want to hear any more about James Manns. He is in his last year here and he isn't going to play. Our coaches should have been blunting honest with him last year and encouraged him to transfer somewhere else where he could have played more. They should have used his scholarship and our other unused scholarship on 2 SGs that might have actually helped us this year.

I'd be shocked if there isn't an announcement within the next 2 weeks that Murray State is going to the MVC. Unfortunately, I don't see the OVC's demise helping the HL. The only team from the OVC remotely close to the HL is Morehead State and I don't see a scenario where it makes sense to add them to the HL. They really don't bring anything to the table where they improve the conference. The negative is they add to everyone's travel costs and they would just further diminish each conference member's NCAA tournament cut.

James Manns looked good in the video. Hope Manns has a breakout year, he has been a loyal teammate, he needs to start and set the world on fire. Did you even pay attention to the message of the video. The whole goal for this team is for every guy to put the team first. A good teammate is someone that does whatever it takes to help the team win. Manns is anything but that. We desperately needed to have more bench depth last year. We went 6-7 deep most games. I honestly think we could have gone undefeated in our OOC and HL schedule and made a run in the dance last year if we would have been able to go 7-8 deep. We couldn't do that because Manns is a very selfish player that doesn't want to play defense and wants to score every time he touches the ball. After 4 years in the program, a good teammate would have learned how to play basic defense. A good teammate would learn how to pass the ball instead of chucking up a 3 every time he touched it. He only played mop up minutes with the walk-ons because he was a shitty teammate. In regards to your belief that Manns needs to start, WTF? There is a better chance that Love will be back than there is that Manns will even be able to find his way into the rotation. There is a better chance that we get invited to the Big 10 than there is that Manns will start.

Any news on when we will be hiring a new assistant coach? It's been a months since we lost Coach Chambliss. The job isn't listed on Wright State's job website anymore so hopefully we have someone lined up and are just finalizing things.

Well the school is updating the roster on the sports webpage for 2021-2022 and Loudon is still listed. So who knows what is going on. I think you are reading too much into this. Lou has not announced his final decision to the public yet. Wright State left him on the website so that he can make the announcement when he wants. If he was coming back, Wright State wouldn't just include his name on the website and call it a day. I can guarantee you that Wright State would blast that information to every media outlet they could.

Wright State has been able to still turn a profit the last few years even with all the negative PR around the university and the pandemic. Wright State is really positioned to turn the corner starting next year and make some real money again. Just having an appropriate sized faculty for our student body will make us much more profitable but the next big step is rebuilding our enrollment. With the pandemic slowing down I really think we will be back on the upswing.
