Right now we are looking at 11 scholarship players for our upcoming season, and with 3 of those being freshman, I have to assume at least 1 or 2 or those freshman will be forced to play. I don't think we are looking at a rotation of just 8 guys next season. We will sign at least 1 if not 2 more recruits for next year. But can we get some experience in the back court? A 5th year or JUCO player who can play immediately, coordinate the offensive attack, and protect the ball.

If you know nothing else about Coach Nagy you know he always has a plan. He didn’t put all his eggs in one basket hoping to land the JUCO PG.

Freak out is a bit harsh. I pointed out what I consider to be our biggest weakness going forward and asked your opinion on it. You seem to have the best info on the recruiting trail. I assumed if you had some insight you'd share it.
Rounding out our class, imo, has to include someone who can come in with experience at the point, who fits Nagy's system, can gel with our team, and allow a smoother transition to a Trey Calvin lead offense. You say there's a plan, I'm good with that.

I looked at last years transfer commitments, and both Ash and Dozic committed to the Raiders in May, so there's still time for 1 or 2 more additions for next season. Having said that, I'm just a little concerned that the staff is 0-3 so far in the transfers they have targeted. But with over 750 players in the transfer portal to date and still growing, and the likely hood that the NCAA will eliminate the 1 year sit out rule by vote on May 20th, my hope for at least 1 impact transfer player for this upcoming season suddenly springs eternal.

A few thoughts/corrections: 1. We are 0-2 in the late signing period, not 0-3. We have only offered scholarships to Darweshi Hunter and Jaylon Holmes. 2. This isn't a whole lot different than any other recruiting cycle. We signed Dozic and Ash last year after we missed out on Marcus Domask, Braden Norris, and Deng Geu.

So just to clarify, we didn't offer Keegan McDowell? The rumor mill had him as a Raider just 2 weeks ago.

The blurb on Wright St says we’re depending on Dozic’s contributions and that Jaylon will be a senior next year.....😳 It also has about half of the A-10 on the list, so take this with at least four grains of salt.

I am beginning to wonder what this upcoming season will look like. Will there even be a season? If so, will we as fans be able to be in the arena? I'm hearing some rumblings that due to budget concerns, the NCAA is telling teams to limit travel and try to schedule games against opponents nearby geographically. Could we be playing TTAT this year? So many questions right now with no concrete answers. Maybe this should be in its on thread. I'll let you administrators decide.

Hmmmm now that would be something to behold. Not just TTAT but Cincy, Xavier, OSU, even half the MAC teams are good competition. Great way for exposure too. You have peaked my interest now sir.

Here are the latest rumors I have heard around the athletic department. Financially, I think we all know that the coronavirus has hit the economy hard. It's hitting all universities hard too. WSU, like everyone else is cutting money from the athletic department. As a result, don't expect us to spend any money on buy games this year. That is some of the good news. I don't think we are going to see any D2/NAIA schools on the schedule. On the flip side, to try to make up for some of the financial cuts I think we are going to be playing more buy games on the road. In regards to recruiting, we missed on our top targets to finish out the late recruiting period. Coaches are still looking at grad transfers but we might just go into next season holding onto our last 2 scholarships. I know fans are concerned about going into next season with Trey Calvin as our only true PG. I don't think our coaches are concerned. Hall has run the point for us at times in the past and he played PG for his high school team. Incoming freshman, Welage played the 1-3 on his high school team. I think they are confident in those 3 to get the job done if they don't find someone they really like on the grad transfer market.

In regards to the 2020-2021 campaign, the Ivy League is set to announce it will not compete in fall or winter sports (through the end of the calendar year) this season. They will readdress spring sports later in the year.
Keep in mind they were also the first domino to fall relating to conference tournaments last season.
